On tap @ Elliott Bay Lake City. Pours deep brown with super thin head. Aroma is chocolate malts. Taste is rich dark malts with chocolate and balanced hops on the very back. Watery mouthfeel that contrasts oddly with the nice color. Flavor is spot on, just wish this had a more typical stout body.

Draught in a flight at the brewpub. Pours a dark brown color. Nose is roasty, as you’d expect. Feels fairly smooth on the palate, with some toasting and roastiness to the taste. All in all, this was a run of the mill stout for me.

Sampler at the brewpub. Pours black with a tan head. Nose is of coffee. taste is of coffee and sweet caramel. Mouthfeel is medium-thin, thinner than I expected from a stout.

Pours black with a thick off white head. Has a big coffee and chocolate toasty presence, and is very smooth and velvety. Has a little bit of acidic flavor from the roasted malt. This is a good standby at Elliot Bay.
