On tap @ Elliott Bay Lake City. Pours deep brown with super thin head. Aroma is chocolate malts. Taste is rich dark malts with chocolate and balanced hops on the very back. Watery mouthfeel that contrasts oddly with the nice color. Flavor is spot on, just wish this had a more typical stout body.

On tap at Elliott Bay Brew Pub in West Seattle, WA--Abysmal black, opaque body with just a tinge of amber around the edges. No head. Creamy oily, start, acidic nose with mild toffee, coffee, and nut hints. Hints of cherry, almond, and lacquer thinner in finish. Something a bit odd with this beer. Not sure if it is off, just odd. Coats tongue with sweet biscuit flavors and an English-meets-US touch. Flaked oats give depth in creaminess.
