Elliott Bay Noir Von Boorian

Black with a tan, creamy head. Lots of roast and bitter coffee in the nose. Flavor is much the same following with a strong roast background and notes of coffee. There is some smoke wafting through the flavor as well. Yes, I just used wafting in a rating. Some mocha, and just a tiny bit of yeast there. Finishes fairly light bodied with a lot of flavors.

(Draught) Pours a dark brown body with a medium beige head. Aroma of vanilla, cocoa, roastiness, and herbs. Flavor of smoke, tobacco, light chocolate, and wood.

Draft at the Burien pub. Pours opaque black with a slim but clinging off-white head and lace. Roasty nose but not too much else happening there. Tingy soft tiny-bubble carb. Body’s medium full. Chocolate and roast on the mid-palate; fairly subdued finish.
