COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Belgian Black Beer? Yep, and it's tasty too. Based on the German Schwartz bier style, Noir's blend of dark malted barley yields a complex beer that is rich in both body and flavor with the added twist of being fermented with Belgian yeast. 5.25% ABV

Black with a tan, creamy head. Lots of roast and bitter coffee in the nose. Flavor is much the same following with a strong roast background and notes of coffee. There is some smoke wafting through the flavor as well. Yes, I just used wafting in a rating. Some mocha, and just a tiny bit of yeast there. Finishes fairly light bodied with a lot of flavors.

UPDATED: JUN 15, 2007 Draft at the Burien pub. Pours opaque black with a slim but clinging off-white head and lace. Roasty nose but not too much else happening there. Tingy soft tiny-bubble carb. Body’s medium full. Chocolate and roast on the mid-palate; fairly subdued finish.
