bitbucket (1477), Kirkland, Washington, USA Jun 17, 2008 On tap at WABL Fathers Day BrewFest 2008. Pours clear dark gold with a lacy white head. A bit of fruit in the nose. Light-ish body, minimal carbonation. There is some corn, loads of vanilla and some strange taste I can’t quite track down. Not that far afield from Ave Rat. If you need to choose between Olde E and Olde B, go with the "B". SuzyGreenberg (799), Seattle, Washington, USA Mar 26, 2008 draft @ west seattle brewpub - clear orange, no head or carbonation; fairly unflavorful, but a little fruit and syrup texture; drinks thin BrewDad (1553), Olympia, Washington, USA Oct 30, 2007 Draft - Brewery - Burien, WA
Aroma – Rich malt aroma with that buttery essence.
Appearance – Golden in color, clear and a nice head
Flavor – This was a malt liquor I could drink again and again. Great flavors rich and full. Not watered down nor over produced taste.
Palate – This was interesting and fun to drink and the flavors where good.
Overall –Interesting this was a malt liquor and it was really good.
glkaiser (872), Seattle, Washington, USA Sep 19, 2007 On tap at brewpub. Light golden with medium head. Breweries should really just stop experimenting with Malt Liquors....I just don’t get it. I’m all for experimentation, but when it almost seems that you’re trying to make something not good, what is the point? This was no different than the Big Time Ave Rat, Elysian AK-47 or any other local Malt Liquor I’ve tried in the past couple of years. Not good. Pretty mild off flavors as far as Malt Liquors go, but a little sourness that just isn’t right in any beer. Why not just make a good beer? Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA Aug 31, 2007 Light amber/brown color with a foamy head. Smells of husky malts with a little wheat in the mix. There is a nice and mellow fruity hop background that is noticable in the flavor as well. The malts and wheat are present as well. The beer is smooth and clean. The flavors blend well together. I went for a second.
