The Great Pumpkin Beer Festival 2011 – Elysian Brewing, Seattle, WA
Add stout and bourbon and I am done add some pumpkin flavor and wow this was a killer brew. I was able to taste both the 2010 and 2011 and I must say they are awesome. Dark black in color, with a great aroma add dark malts and bourbon this was a tasty best also. One of the best for the day.

The most deceptively monikered brew at Elysian’s Pumpkin Fest 2011. Brown figured with ruby highlights. Buttery nose full of sweet syrup and bourbon, brown sugar, sweet potato and all the goodness you would dream a good Southern breakfast would entail. Sweet malty backbone over which vanillins and buttered brown sugar hop off of delightfully.

Draft at GPBF. Pumpkin and Bourbon Stout Together. Pours jet black with a nice dense creamy dark tan head. Big sweet nose showing a great blend of bourbon, wood, vanilla, light pie spice, and dark roastiness. Great combination. Creamy thick body with sluggish but persistent carb. Dense sweet mid-palate, well-integrated combination of booze, wood, chocolatey roasty stout, and some pie spice. Could get to be habit-forming.
