2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Dogbrick (4842) - Columbus, USA - OCT 15, 2004
Sample at the brewpub: Pours a hazy light yellow color with a thick and foamy white head. Thin, stringy lacing that left rings. The aroma is light wheat and that’s about all. Light-bodied and fairly crisp with a rather mundane flavor. Light wheat and hops is about it. The finish is clean and light. This isn’t a bad tasting beer, but it is pretty boring.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 sbanach (203) - USA - FEB 16, 2011
This one was my favorite of the day. On tap at ellis island brewery in LV. Appearance is cloudy, little hops. Tastes more of a belgian wit then a hefeweizen Lemon notes, floral citrus taste, delicious. served with a lemon wedge. 24 oz brew for $1.75 at a microbrewery doesn’t get much better. I wish they bottled and shipped to Chicago region.. I enjoyed this brew with a steak before the Beatles Love show at the Mirage..

Tap at casino. Pours a hazy yellow appearance with a white head. Wheat malty nose with lemon citrus. Overally wheat malty flavor that’s almost like mash. Strong lemon and lemon flavors. Not very good.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 tmoreau (1355) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - JUN 14, 2010
One of a battery of large samplers of the beers on tap at the time of my visit, and generously offered to me by the brewer, Joe. The color was a fairly clear, gold tone, with modest, white foam to the head, and nice, web-like cling to the lacing. The aroma was light yeast, wheat, only a slight hint of banana, a little spice, and a bit of tartness. The flavor was similar, but in a lesser degree, with low carbonation and light body. Not much character for the style.
3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 djd07 (1727) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAR 15, 2010
On tap at Ellis Island casino. Pours a cloudy yellow golden with a medium frothy white head that lasts awhile leving spotty lacing. The aroma is a lemon zest and citrus wheat. Thin mouthfeel with a lemon and wheat flavor. Easy to drink, a very good Wheat ale from Ellis Island. Cant beat 22 oz for 1.50 in Vegas.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 riversideAK (4568) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - SEP 7, 2009
Wheat and lemon in the nose with a light hint of yeast. Pours cloudy yellow orange with no head. Wheat malt and lemon are the dominant flavors in this one. Clean and quaffable with a refreshing finish and som elingering wheat notes. Well done american wheat ale.

Pours a nice hazy golden amber with a medium to large creamy white head. Nice soft wheat notes, light lemon, though that may be because it came with a big hunk of lemon on the edge. Little thin and a touch metallic, with some nice crisp wheat notes to it. Finishes light with a touch of bitterness.
