on tap-pours a tan head with trailing lace and hazy/cloudy amber color. Aroma is cold = almost zero nose, maybe some grain. As it warms pine/orange peel, bready. Taste is pine/orange peel hops with some bite, medium malt-bready. OK/soft carbonation.

Combines two of my favorite things about NH: Mount Monadnock and beer. Described as a meeting of traditional American brewed pale and newer hoppy IPAs. Floral citrus aroma that’s hard to pin down amongst the brewery odors at large. Dark hazy amber that doesn’t look like IPA. Hoppy and bitter flavor is notably balanced by a caramel malt background presence. A beer that would be a standout 30 years ago, today it’s just a well executed example.

On tap at SAVOR 2011. Served in a goblet. Pours a clear golden color with an average off-white head that is quite creamy. Good lacing and a few spots around the edges. Thin collar. The nose brings forward some very light hops along with bread and an unfortunate amount of diacetyl. The flavor is also lacking in hops and brings nothing other than light grainy bread and diacetyl. Creamy, buttery mouthfeel with average carbonation. Serving type: on-tap Reviewed on: 06-09-2011

On tap at the brewpub. Pours an orange amber with a thin white head. Sweet caramel malt, toast and light hops. Touches of earthy hops, sweet and toasty, almost a bit burnt. Long grapefruit bitterness on the finish.
