COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Available in bottles & on draught. Seasonal beer: November to Febuary. Quixotic is a russet hued bitter with a subtle roasted grain palette and aroma. Creamy chocolate balanced by tangy Pilgrim hops produce a lingering easy drinking ale.

Anna thinks it was cakey, and chocolatey. In contrast, Phil thought it was chocolate cakey. There was coffee too in the aroma, we agreed on that. Fruity too. Darkish ruby with a frothy head. Taste cakey, but also seems a little watery, but not annoyingly so. Finish builds nicely to a tingly roast. Yup, definite stealth roast. Good one.

Cask (gravity dispense). Beer #4 at Cambridge Winter Beer Festival on 21 January 2011. Copper colour. Surprising roasty aroma. Some chocolate. Also fruit cake. Some tangy hops to provide balance. Lots of body. A very tasty and pleasing drop.

Cask - The Rose, Norwich. Poured a clear, deep ruddy brown with a bubbly though lasting light tan head leaving a loose lacing. Roasty, coffee and dark fruit aromas. Mostly roasty again on the tongue with some dark fruit and earth in the background. Finishes with a lingering dry roasted malt bitterness followed by a gentle dark fruit tang. Soft mouthfeel & medium body.
