COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
NIBIRU, named for the mysterious planet X supposedly on a collision course toward earth. Nibiru is a Belgian style tripel flavored with an infusion of yerba mate. Combining the yeasty esters of Belgian yeast and the compelling tea-like flavors of the South American herb mixture, with German Northern Brewer, Czech Saaz and American Amarillo hops round out the uniqueness of this first beer of the Apocalypse. Bomber shared by MaltDawg at the 18th Richmond Ratebeer Gathering. Pours a clear golden color with a medium sized frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of spice, tea, bread, tin, stone fruits. The taste is sweet bready malts, tea, earth, bitter hops and faint toasted malts. Medium bodied, low carbonation, lingering spice.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of my secret santa. Thanks bro! Pours a cloudy orange appearance with an off white head. Candy, orange zesty, floral, tangy, tangerine fruity aroma. Somewhat tart, banana, tangy orange fruity, fairly sweet flavor. Really didnít enjoy this one.

22 oz. bottle, pours a mostly clear golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of apples, pears, candied sugar, cotton candy, bubblegum and some tea. Flavour of some odd spices and herbs, with dried apples and pears, sort of tea-like quality I suppose, and yeast. Medium complexity with some odd spices which I assume are from the tea.

22oz bottle, shared. Mostly clear, orange-gold color. Little white head, bit of lace. Smooth, lighter carbonation. This is an interesting tripel... Some interesting earthy notes here, along with the light spice that youíd expect. Dry texture. Light bitter taste, some spice. Interesting augmentation

Bottle thanks to a trade! pours a hazy orangish amber with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has a decent amount of light fruit with a bit of tea, a sweet grain backing and a nice amount of sweetness. Flavor is sweeter with a good amount of grain and only a hint of light fruit and grassy hops.

"Pretty nice beer though not a standout by Elysians hefty standards. the traditional aromas and flavors are all there...bubble gum and a bit of clove, with some light fruit and citrus, and itís also got a grassy herbal bite, which is unique (but not something i;d want all the time. nice warming feel."

22oz. bottle shared by DrSilverworm. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. The aroma is on the mild side, but does show some herbal, green tea, light fruity and light yeasty notes. The flavor was herbal, dry, mildly fruity, earthy with pale malts. An interesting spin on a tripel.

Draft. Pours gold with a white head. Fruity, peachy, and yeasty, with lighter floral notes, honey, and spices. Decent.

Draft at special brews. Pours a cloudy burnished medium amber with a creamy thin off white head. Classic green apples and sweet cream nose showing plenty of dust as well. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Dusty, toasty mid palate with apples and sweet cream, dark dusty finish. Solid tripel.
