3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma of chocolate, tart yeast, and slight cherry. Pours black with a messy brown head. Taste is weird with bitter yeast, slight raspberry, and a slight clove. Finishes with a fruity chocolate taste. All in all, not as pleasant as it sounds.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from World Beers. Dark black pour with a medium tan head leaving moderate lace. The head fades quickly to a thin rim and turns much lighter. Nose is roasty and somewhat smoky. Medium-heavy body with light carbonation. Raspberry, baking chocolate, charcoal and some citrus hops. Finish is nicely balanced: not sweet, but not overly bitter. Nicely done and another ‘Apocalypse’ hit.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bomber. This beer is kind of a mess and needs to warm to about room temperature to get any sort of desireable flavors. Aroma is muted raspberries and tar. Flavor is burnt coffee, plastic, and raspberries somewhere in the distance. Tangy. Leaves my mouth tasting like i smoked a cigarette.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
One of my favorite stouts, like whoa. Perfectly balanced beer with raspberry chocolate notes forward through the body with a roasted malt to well balance. Not sacchrine at all

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Location: 22 oz bottle from Sparrow-Downtown, 12/13/12, Rating #2650!
Aroma: The nose is a little roasty, some bread/dough, raspberry, Belgian yeast, and chocolate
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a small brown head and some drippy lace spots
Flavor: The taste is pretty clean and malty, with a little fruity sweetness, and a light bitterness
Palate: The body is light-medium, it is fairly creamy, has a soft carbonation, and a smooth finish
Interesting stuff, but ultimately, not a favorite for me. Still though, I don’t have many complaints. I found it solid all-around, but the creaminess of the feel was the stand-out component of the beer.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at Tangle Town, pours black with a small tan head and a reddish tinge. Aroma of roasted malt, light raspberries and some sweetness. Flavour is much more pronounced on the raspberries, blended well with the roasted malt. Syrupy palate, without being too sweet. Solid stuff.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: NOV 28, 2012 Aroma is dark chocolate, raspberry, yeast - which might be what burns my nostrils...odd. Flavour is dark chocolate, raspberry, with the belgian flavours coming out mid-palate, a little bit of bitterness. Finish is a blend of citrus, funk and charred malts. Very interesting. I like how the raspberry and Belgian yeast adds something different.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
From a growler, pours a pitch black color with a tan head that leaves good lacing. Smells of chocolate, roasted malts, Belgian yeast, and raspberry. Tastes like dragonstooth stout with raspberry and a light belgian yeast flavor. Mouthfeel is rich and watery with light carbonation. Overall this is pretty good but not as unique as some of the others in the Beers of the Apocalypse series.
