Pours jet black with small purplish head. nose is roasty and of cocoa and light fruit. You get hints of raspberry’s on palate but not overwhelmingly so. You also get roasted malt, cocoa powder, earth, and wood. nice and not too sweet

Bottle from ABC Beer Co. I think I drank it last Friday (3/29) in the apartment, shared with Erica. Pours black. Thin- to medium-body, some roasty/toasty notes and a little bit of fruit. To be honest I’m not 100pc sure I would have noticed the raspberry if I hadn’t read the label, but that’s probably my own fault. Anyway, I liked that it was subtle.

22 ounce bottle. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roast, and raspberrries. Taste is dark chocolate, raspberrries, roast, coffee, and dark fruits. Nice to sip on.

A really wonderful ripple of raspberry works it’s way through this beer, lightly tart, lightly sweet and very, very juicy. It pairs wonderfully with the chocolate of the malt. The finish is dominated by the roasted malts and a dry character that could be the yeast. The bitterness is light but lasting.

Black color with lasting tan head. Nice dark chocolate, raspberry jam, dark roast malt aromas. Smooth medium body. Dark chocolate, fresh raspberry jam flavors with deep roast malt, and pie crust--very tasty stout.

Bottle. Pours very dark brown - almost black- with tan head. Nose and taste of chocolate covered raspberries, dusty cocoa, roast chocolate malt, coffee roast and vanilla. Finishes with slightly soured raspberries but still plenty of roast. Body is a little on the lighter side of medium.

On tap. Opaque with a quarter inch of creamy foam. Aromas of cocoa and coffee mingle with traces of funk and berry. Flavors are an excellent blend of the same, with the berry staying in the background. Medium-heavy body is well balanced, has medium-high carbonation and is pretty sessionable.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilburs Fort Collins I believe. Pours a deep brown appearance with a thin, dark brown head. Dark berry, raspberry, fruity yeasty, a touch spicy, roasty malty, chocolate, light anise aroma. At first, I’m a bit overwhelmed by a charred, anise, s’more flavor but some raspberry does follow. The finish kind of reminds me of a Raspberry Hot Cocoa drink or Raspberry Mocha. A bit thin and a bit odd, but it’s not overall that bad. Honestly, I’ve never been a big fan of Belgian stouts, but I’ll drink it.

The aroma is chocolate, light roast, subtle raspberry. The appearance is jet lack, tan head. The flavor is just like the aroma. The finish is chocolate, roasty, pine. Medium/thick in body. Good overall.
