Bomber from WB. Clear gold pour with a short white head fading to thin and leaving a fine, even lacing. Nose is tart fruit and some saison-like funk. Medium-light body with vigorous, fine carbonation. Ripe apricot, sweet apple, pear, black pepper and some earthy funk. Tartness is mild (less so than the bomber I had the month it came out), almost more of a fruity Saison than a Sour/Wild.. An accessible sour with a mild Brett character. Would be interesting to try this one again in 6-8 months. One of my favs in the Apocalypse series.

From the tap poured an amber color with a good amount of head. Light malty hoppy flavor with a light sour finish.

A nice, tight, dry and funky nose. Plenty of persimmon flesh flavour with all the sugar taken out. Dry and funky all the way through. Some graham cracker sweetness too. Really good. Estery fruit. I’m pretty impressed by this offering and the partnership of the yeast with this interesting fruit.

Bomber from Lets Pour. Pours clear orange gold with a fizzy transient white head. Aroma is faint sour fruit. Med body. Flavor is bready, with a slight earthiness suggesting brett, and some sort of fruit. Obviously persimmon, but I wouldn’t know that on my own. It’s tart/sour, but not strongly so. Finishes that way.

Bright, gold, little-to-no head. Aroma is clean, fruity grain with very small sourness that had me briefly confused with hops and ginger. Flavor confirmed sourness, especially as it warmed, but it was incredibly mild for a beer fermented entirely with Brett. The persimmons were not immediately apparent either, and I still can’t point out exactly which components of the beer were affected by it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a positive impact given the subtle complexity of this beer. Light bodied, low carbonation.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 fiulijn (12179) - Malmö, DENMARK - JAN 8, 2013
Draught at Elizabeth Station, Bellingham, WA, listed at 6% ABV Cloudy amber color, small creamy head. The aroma is mild, a bit fruity, sour, earthy (soil). Smooth mouthfeel, some malt flavor, the sourness is just hinted, very light Bretts, and a delicate fruitiness and sweetness, probably from the persimmon. Low bitterness. Pleasant and easy for many palates.

22 oz. bottle- Pours semi cloudy with a thin white head that reduces to a collar and some bubbles. The aroma is tart and sour, but there is a generic beery aroma behind it that isn’t all that appealing, but still it deserves a 7. The taste is better than the aroma, there is a sour taste, but with bubblegum, sweet and pretty tasty actually, brett is there too! Do you remember big league chew, or bubble tape, well it tastes like the makers of those came out with a slightly tart version of that, it tastes good! Body is medium, carbonation is fairly high. Overall nice and enjoyable.

Bottle thanks to Ryan! Nose is interesting and spicy. Pour is cloudy amber orange in color with a white head. Its light, a little funky and has some bitterness in the finish. I don’t get much sour here, but might develop more with age.

Tap @ The BeerMongers... Hazy golden pour with moderate head. Had nice citrus and tropical fruit notes. Not sour or anything, brett added spice, yeast depth, and minor funk. Some wheated malts, bready grains too. More light fruits and yeast in the finish.
