3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bottle and the best of all of them pretty much just because it is the last one. It wasn’t my favorite but it was still ok. Pours out golden topped with a white head. Nose is citrus orange lemon hops along with a biscuit malt. Taste is more of the citrus hop mix and the biscuit malts. It was a fun little event that I put on for the elysian rep.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a cloudy dark golden orange color with apricot colored edges and a 2.5 finger frothy, off-white head that has great retention, only slowly fading into a thick, lasting ring. Rings and large streaks of soapy lacing are left behind.
Earthy, floral aroma with grassy hops and pine needle countered by pale malt, subtle spice and light fruit notes. Smells kind of like an America pale ale/tripel hybrid. Underneath the hops, there is some bready yeast, biscuit, vinous light fruit and a touch of caramel. As it warms, I’m picking up boozy sweetness along with some apple, raisin and pear.
Tastes very similar to the aroma with a slight creamy/buttery characteristic. Some dry bitterness up front from the grassy/piney notes and hop resins which is quickly countered by alcohol, light fruit and a decent malt backbone. Hints of honey crisp apple, pear, light grape, raisin and alcohol add plenty of sweetness to counter the crisp hop bite. The malt character is stronger than expected with notes of caramel, toffee and biscuit but it doesn’t interfere with the other very much. Nicely balanced with an interesting combination of flavors but nothing about it really stands out to me. Not bad but just slightly above average.

Bottle share thanks Andrew. Light golden pour, hop aroma, pretty smooth, this beer has some age but it held up.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 Oz bottle brought to a tasting. Pours a bright orange color with a heavy orange, faint hop aroma. Faint raisin flavor, mostly because I know it’s there. Re a ly bitter finish. Alright beer.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sample at the Super Bowl Viewing and Beer tasting on 02/01/2015. The beer pours a clear bright golden color with a medium thick white head that evaporates gradually. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of citrusy hops, pine and biscuit malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a tangerine and hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22oz bomber at Maxs. Unfiltered golden orange-body. Foamy, frothy, patchy head. Big Golden Ale, with some odd raisin tones. Kind of an odd creature all around. Biscuity malt, oxidized a touch. Not so great. Probably a bad bottle from Maxs.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
650ml bottle, pours golden brown, a bit cloudy and murky, with a small white head. Nice malt backbone of caramel, sweet to start but a massive hop kick of pine and citrus. The finish is long and bitter. Carbonation average. Palate is oily.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12th February 2014
Hazy gold with a good white head. Palate is smooth with fine minerally csrbonation. A light malt base, little cream. Touch of floralness. Little skunk and then robust citric peel bitterness. Fijishes semi dry and showing more hop skunk and bitterness. Hangs together quite well.
