From bottle. Deep golden hue, at first skeptical about elderflower, but gave it a sweet fruit aftertaste.

From a bottle poured a straw color with a fair amount of head. Light sweet malty flavor with a lingering aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours with a hazed golden hued body with a small yet retentive white head. Aromas are of isoamyl acetate, vanilla, citrus and pineapple with a floral and herbal character that I assume is elderflower. Flavors are huge, hoppy, citrus, floral, tropical fruit, bubblegum, herbal, light grain. Lively carbonation with a dry finish.

Tap at PPG. Hazy orange pour. Weaker head and no lace. Nose is herbal, potpourri, candied orange. Taste is herbal, sage, spicy orange peel. Palate clean, spicy. I like.

This beer poured muddy gold with a dirty white head. Good lacing. Nose is light funk and spices. Medium body. Smooth in the mouth. Flavor shows some hops. not body, seems watery. Finish is barnyard and peppery.

Bomber from Hayduke. We had this one together via facebook chat. This beer poured a light brown with gold and a fizzy beige head. It had chunks of white sediment on the bottom of the bottle that went straight to the bottom of the glass. The aroma was Belgian yeast, barnyard funk, and candi sugar. Those were tasted and were prominent in the flavor as well. Fruit, floral notes, spice (camomile?), and pale malts. It actually began with pale malts and then the other flavors kicked in. This is very tasty and is on the sweet side, which is in my wheelhouse. A smooth creamy feel. This is a very nice beer and is underrated, in my opinion. I liked it more that most of those who have rated it.

Pours an orange color with a white head awesome lacing. Smells of grass, Belgian yeast and fruit. Tastes of grass, Belgian yeast, a sweet fruit flavor I?m assuming from the elderflower and a peppery presence with a slight hop bite. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with amazing carbonation. Overall this is a very flavorful saison and is one of the better beers in the Beers of the Apocalypse series.

Thanks to 5000 for sending me this bottle. The beer pours an orange color with a white head. The aroma has some Belgian yeast notes, as well as some floral and biscuit malt notes. The flavor is different. I get some tart lemon notes, as well as some floral character. I also get some yeast and biscuit malt notes. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

(22oz bomber thanks to mora2000) clear rich gold, ring of fine tan bubbles. Nose of sawdust, umami, classic but not perfect, peppery but mild. Taste of peppercorns, stone fruit, sawdust, umami. Medium body, very carbonated.
