From bottle. Deep golden hue, at first skeptical about elderflower, but gave it a sweet fruit aftertaste.

#6 of 12 beers of the Apocalyse - June Label is interesting with a naked dude walking in a crater with what appear to be serpent sperm. I feel like the name and artwork infer somebody is infertile... Hazy toasted gold with a sheet of fine white bubbles. The yeast comes up front in the nose, sweet grain and coriander with some clay like notes. The elderflowers are in here and initially are subdued and difficult to find through the yeast, but once the beer warms and opens up, itís there and it makes me miss mamouche. Flavor - too much yeast! Wowza, very yeasty and creamy with sweetness and yeast. The elderflowers are more prevalent in the flavor, but the yeast is just soo overpowering itís difficult to enjoy the elderflower flavor. Medium on heavy body with low carb and a thick creamy finish - not the way I like the body here. I really wanted to like this beer, but my mouth was overburdened here. Shitty because I really love elderflowers. Le sigh. Serving type: bottle 06-29-2012

Poured into a tulip. 2.5 A: Clear medium orange color. Two and a half fingers of fizzy, off-white head that falls quickly and leaves no lacing. 3.5 S: Quite impressed with the use of the elderflower in this. It comes through quite well and ends up in a perfect proportion with the rest of the beer. A nice floral/herbal vibe from it. Light caramel, light toastiness, and a mild earthiness. Not very funky and super clean. Moderate peppery yeastiness. Itís a pleasant nose, but overall it doesnít do much to challenge the nose with complexity. Smells more like a Biere de Garde, but whatever. 3.5 T: Taste is like the nose. Simple, elegant, and tasty. Floral/herbal elderflower. Caramel, toast, earth, and peppery spiciness. Again, super clean. 4.0 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation with a light spritziness to it and a mild creaminess. Good here. 3.5 D: Not incredibly interesting, but the drinkibility is superb. Serving type: bottle 11-06-2012 04:32:45

Bottle. Pours with a hazed golden hued body with a small yet retentive white head. Aromas are of isoamyl acetate, vanilla, citrus and pineapple with a floral and herbal character that I assume is elderflower. Flavors are huge, hoppy, citrus, floral, tropical fruit, bubblegum, herbal, light grain. Lively carbonation with a dry finish.

Tap at PPG. Hazy orange pour. Weaker head and no lace. Nose is herbal, potpourri, candied orange. Taste is herbal, sage, spicy orange peel. Palate clean, spicy. I like.

This beer poured muddy gold with a dirty white head. Good lacing. Nose is light funk and spices. Medium body. Smooth in the mouth. Flavor shows some hops. not body, seems watery. Finish is barnyard and peppery.

Bomber from Hayduke. We had this one together via facebook chat. This beer poured a light brown with gold and a fizzy beige head. It had chunks of white sediment on the bottom of the bottle that went straight to the bottom of the glass. The aroma was Belgian yeast, barnyard funk, and candi sugar. Those were tasted and were prominent in the flavor as well. Fruit, floral notes, spice (camomile?), and pale malts. It actually began with pale malts and then the other flavors kicked in. This is very tasty and is on the sweet side, which is in my wheelhouse. A smooth creamy feel. This is a very nice beer and is underrated, in my opinion. I liked it more that most of those who have rated it.
