Taste is sweet with an immediate bitterness and citrus flavour. Rather than the sweetness of the orange I just get the bitterness of the pith. I finally get the blood orange in the finish. Refreshing and bitter, but not really all that tasty.

Pours a light honey color with a tall white head. Smells citrusy. Bold citrus flavor. The blood orange really comes through. Nice summer ale.

Draft at the stagshead. I swore of beer until I finished inputting backlog but that only lasted 2 days. Pours cloudy yellow orange with one finger soapy head. Orange and pine on nose. Tastes of blood orange, grapefruit, pine, resin, grassy, and light horse blanket. Dry on finish could use even more blood orange.

Draft at Stag’s Head. Pours hazy golden yellow with a medium white head. Good lacing. Aroma of sweet oranges, mostly the juice and rind, not the pith, and grassy hops. Taste is lightly hoppy and grassy with a good amount of citrus, mostly grapefruit and orange. Body is very light, almost a little watery. Wish the blood orange was a little more prominent. Bitter finish.

Draft at Mudville 9 NYC. Pours a cloudy orange color with a hearty foam that lasts. Taste is tart, hoppy and wheaty with some sweetness. Very interesting!

Pours with a yellow haze. Really yellow, not gold. Interesting to look at. The head was relatively short lived. Lots of wheat, pithy orange and an underlying grassy sweetness.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a cloudy opaque deep golden with a creamy off-white head. Citrusy nose and also a lighter and sweeter orange note. Medium body, an initial light sweetness and then a massive bitterness. 230213

Tap at Pour House, murky gold orange with light head and good lacing. Notes of tangy, bitter hops, grapefruit, tangerine, orange, light toasted malt. Nice and dry, good beer if you can get past the aggressiveness.
