22 oz. bottle- Pours hazy orange with a thin off white head that reduces to a collar. The aroma is spices and pumpkin, this is more pumpkin pie aroma and less raw pumpkins. The taste is creamy, pumpkin pie, smooth as hell, there is a nuttiness to it. Body is medium, carbonation is moderately high. Overall I was impressed, I really dug the pumpkin pie taste, I canít get enough of that.

Beer 9/12 in the Apocalypse Series. From the label: "Beer #9: BLIGHT will sustain you with an ale of pumpkin, dark brown sugar and a jolt of fiery Vietnamese cinnamon." Amber with a solid sheet of light cream foam and excellent clarity. No lace. Lots of cinnamon, a bit of malt, but mostly cinnamon, cinnamon and som more cinnamon. Taste carries through with more cinnamon, and a good dose of malty character and some nice bits of sweet molasses. This reminds me of Cocoa Mole "Light". This is the best of all the pumpkin beers Elysian makes. They should replace the Night Owl with this recipe. Medium on full bodied with a nice soft carb and an off dry finish. Good beer. I will buy more. Serving type: bottle 09-24-2012

THOUGHTS: Tons of Cinnamon. Almost more of a cinnamon beer than a pumpkin beer. Very nice. Basically it tasted like cinnamon sugar toast with pumpkin better spread on it and them some cinnamon added in both the flavor and aroma. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a clear, but slightly hazy, medium to dark, brownish orange or light orangey brown with an average, off-white head that mostly diminished. The aroma had toasted malts, caramel and cake; fruity and sour pumpkin; honey; brown sugar; maple syrup; mostly cinnamon; a little pumpkin, and pumpkin butter. The initial flavor was slightly sour, bitter and acidic, and lightly sweet; while the finish was moderately sweet, slightly sour and acidic, and lightly bitter with an average to long duration. There was pumpkin, lots of cinnamon, honey, cake, toast, caramel, maple syrup more cinnamon, brown sugar, and fruity and sour pumpkin. The medium body was very creamy with fizzy carbonation and a slightly dry finish.

On tap at Tangletown. Overwhelming cinnamon aroma. Flavor is also dominated by cinnamon. Otherwise, the flavor profile is the same as Night Owl, which I do love. I got a couple hints of alcohol burn.

From bottle during Oscars, Delightful pumpkin pie flavor with a great spicy kick from the Vietnamese cinnamon.

Ok orange color with a big head. Nose is pure pumpkin pie. Attack is sweet and filled with nutmeg. Not my style.

Drought. Amber-orange color, beige creamy head, strong pumpkin aroma, low carbonation, long finish. Pleasing pumpkin beer, in fact best that Iíve ever had.

Bomber. Appearance is a dark rusted orange and gold color with a thin cap of beige foam. Aroma is predominately cinnamon, graham cracker and pumpkin spice. The flavor is equally strong on the cinnamon and spice notes in addition to some brown sugar, pie crust and pumpkin filling. The body is mildly creamy with medium carbonation and a heavily spiced, alcohol warming finish. Overall, the cinnamon dominates throughout while the pumpkin flavor is rather subtle. Enjoyable but a little over-spiced at times.

16oz draft at Belmont Station. A: Reddened copper with a cloud-covered head. Looks fantastic. N: Cinnamon graham crackers with extra cinnamon. Hints of nutmeg. The pumpkin is hidden underneath. T: Cinnamon sugar, bread, and alcohol. Some cola flavorings. Not quite up to Elysianís normal standards as the spices dominate the pumpkin. M: Somewhat thin, relatively speaking. Wish the pumpkin lent more body. O: Recommendable for the pumpkin completist or those who like cinnamon hearts. Everyone else will probably be disappointed.

Bottle - maple and pumpkin nose, has chunks of pumpkin that settle to bottom. Nice blend of spices, pumpkin, and slight heat finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
