3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 trevor211 (990) - Seattle, USA - SEP 10, 2011
On tap at Brouwer’s Hopfest 2011. Ruddy orange pour, with a smallish dense head. Good balance of hops and rye in here. Same balance in the flavor. Just a tad hoppier than other ryes I’ve had, which I like. Really drinkable, maybe just a *tad* dilute.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 riversideAK (4566) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - OCT 6, 2011
Nose is of caramel, rye malt spiciness, and oranges/citrus hops. Perhaps a touch of pine. Pours amber, nice head. The flavor is a nice mixture of caramel, rye malt spiciness, and orange/grapefruit flavor and bitterness. Nice bitterness in this rye IPA. Enjoyable, drinkable beer before a Hawks game.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Nuffield (3087) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - SEP 10, 2011
I couldn’t see the rye dimensions in this as clearly as I’ve seen it in other rye beers, and that’s a good thing. It makes for a fairly classic IPA, one of a number of beers in Seattle that challenged my notion of the "West Coast" IPA style. Fine, but just fine. (on tap at brewpub)
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 nbondi (182) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 27, 2011
Copper colored with off-white head. Pineapple, pine, bubblegum, and rye nose. Medium body, good carbonation. Nice, spicy rye with good long finish. Not the best, but worth trying for sho’.

Draft at the pike street. Pours a cloudy medium amber. Loose white head, lots of drippy lace. Big peppery tangy rye nose...god, i am rye’s little bitch. Creamy medium body, could use some bubbles. Toast caramel and rye mid palate, gorgeous. Dark resiny husky finish. Nice.
