3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Courtesy hopscotch. POurs a clear gold color, with a small off white head. Smells of citrus hops, earth, and hints of a floral bouquette. The flavor seemed a bit bland however, the hops were very subdued. Very malty, perhaps a bit too much, and the hops were replaced with a malty, pasty flavor. Kind of disappointing to be honest, because I like the regular jasmine IPA.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
bottle thanks to scrizzz poured a light amber in color with a thin white head. aroma has sweet caramel, honey, sage, jasmine, white grape, and flowers. has a real interesting herb hit that complements the beer without getting overpowering. flavor starts with a honey sweetness, light bitterness, flowers, nice herb level, jasmine, juniper, and finishes drying. I don’t usually go for strong herb like this in a beer but this one pulls it off very well.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 oz. bottle - IMO this one was way better out of bottle than it was on draft; light orange with mild carbonation and fluffy white head fading quickly; full bodied with floral, spicy aromas; tons of jasmine and tons of sweetness to meld it together; hops of more fruity and sweet; cray smooth, almost creamy and muted bitterness; very nice job!!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Elysian Fields for Seattle Beer Week celebration. Clear orange hue with a thin head. Muted aroma of floral hops. The jasmine really comes through on the taste, bitter and the floral notes hit the nose. smooth palate.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22oz bottle. Deep golden/almost amber with thin head. Tons of floral jasmine in the aroma and taste. Light bready malt sweetness mixes well with the floral tastes and an assertive bitterness. Very nicely done...drinkable, unique and really damn enjoyable. The original Avatar is a solid summer drinker, but this is just a whole different world.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Cap Hill location. Pours a cloudy orange amber with a big dirty white head that leaves a beautiful soft lace as it makes its way down my pint glass. Before I put my nose into this one, I am a bit skeptical about what this beer is going to be about. I really enjoy the Avatar, but will an imperial be too much??? WOW! The nose is a sweet resiny biscuit up front and then deep inviting Jasmine. I am also picking up vanilla, orange, and some slight grassy notes as well...but the delicious Jasmine is saying ’drink me’. Up front I get a silky smooth feel with perfect carbonation. Right away I get malty sweetness and then into the most delicious Jasmine tea followed by the most balanced hop bitterness at the end. This is a really intriguing beer that isn’t for everyone, but I really need to give props to Elysian for going imperial on this. I can only hope to try the barrel aged version of this one some day.

4.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle ala M&V - A monument to floral components atop the alter of hearty malt backbone. Jasmine is strong on the nose and upfront on the tongue - giving it a quasi-herbal character yet maintaining its distinct flowery character. Hop floral components kick in with subdued citrus and a pronounced, yet well balanced, spicy nature. Thick bready malt character with rich grain presence highlighted by very light caramel sweetness. Beautiful pour - looks absolutely stunning. A true work of art.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz Bottle thanks to riversideAK. Pours hazy golden orange with a frothy off-white head. Nice head retention. Lively carbonation. Aroma is of earthy hops, caramel, malt, and floral notes. Taste is of earthy and dirty hops, with lots of what I assume is jasmine. Sort of taste like a bag of potpouri was tossed in the mix. Backbone of caramel malt. Mouthfeel is heavily carbonated and fizzy like a soda. Each sip ends with a very bitter, oily hop bite. Takes a few sips to get used to, but it’s a very good beer with a strange floral taste.
