Sweet resiny pine nose with jasmine green tea and floral notes. Tight medium head, copper orange and slight haze. Honey sweetness with a different kind of bitterness, more of a tannic jasmine green tea bitterness. Mild carbonation, nice finish. it could use a little more alcohol, but a very interesting and different IPA.

An interesting choice of adjunct for an IPA - the jasmine actually comes through a lot more than I expected, as jasmine is quite mild - it is pretty strong in the flavor, and works really well with the hop profile - the malts are lean and biscuity, allowing the hops to dry out the finish - the odd vegetal quality I tasted in their regular IPA is also present in this one, but the hops and jasmine do a good job of covering it up - some herbal, tea-like components are also complimented well by the jasmine - pretty nice.

Picked up a single 22-oz bomber at Bottleworks in Seattle, Washington. Pours a hazy golden orange brew with plenty of particles and a lively thick head that has excellent retention and lacing throughout. Aroma of light biscuit multi-grain malt, grapefruit, some floral hops and a touch of honey. Taste is medium bodied, some carbonation with flavors or roasted biscuity malt, grapefruit and flowery hops. Finish is mildly bitter with some biscuit malt and flowery hop aftertaste. This bomber had some extra aging which did some nice work.

660 ml bottle. Golden orange body with a lacing off-white head. Aroma is fruity, floral and a bit hoppy. Flavor is mild, harmonic sweet malt, floral, a bit spicy and a light bitterness. Nice and harmonic, but reminds me more of a spicy saison than an IPA. Very interesting, glad I had the whole bottle for myself.

such a profound malt and straw flavor that (i am sorry) clearly reminds me of a horse farm. with the intense smell of hay as it... well processes its way around as one would expect at a horse farm. light jasmine aroma and flavor dissapates in short order from the bottle. light citrus hop flavor of grapefruit. low carbonation and moderate body just a bit of leathery and tawny earth. it is somewhat what one might call creamy i suppose.

Pours a nice hazy amber, forming small foamy head (22 oz bomber). Aroma of peppery flowers, hops, peat moss. Flavour was of heavily flowered beer, with a nice bitter and dry ending. There is also a nice maltiness that adds some flavour and character. A unique IPA, kudos to Elysian for trying something different.
