tobizag (34), Federal Way, Washington, USA Feb 14, 2008 the nose, as in the description, is quite full with floral and hop aromas. pours slightly copper with a full white head. flavor is defined by the jasmine, but is classic IPA nonetheless...plenty of hops and bitterness, with interesting malts hidden throughout. the flavor is long lasting, and palate is full.
i highly recommend this brew. Cletus (5002), Connecticut, USA Jan 30, 2008 Pours gold with a nice white head. Smells of earth, dry malt, hints of jasmine, some citrus, breaddy. Tastes of oranges, dry malt, some bitterness, jasmine, pepper, some spice. Mouthfeel is full. Finish yields a nice bitterness. Nicely balanced. Angeloregon (2024), Portland, Oregon, USA Jan 14, 2008 Poured a copper-amber body with a decent white head. Hoppy, sweet, spicy nose. Jasmine provided a sweet, slick flavor that was quite subtle. Generously hopped and surprisingly delicious. tiggmtl (4307), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jan 4, 2008 Huge floral herbal jasmine tea-like aroma with plenty of tannins but a certain hop sharpness. Hazy amber-copper coloured body is topped by a fine bubbled off white head that recedes to a lasting cover with sudsy lacing. Strong tannins and moderate bitterness up front with a very floral character and toasty malt sweetness. Bitterness lingers. Medium body has a beautiful soft texture with gentle carbonation that caresses the tongue. Bottle sampled with Beershine and Oakes. lukeris (5), USA does not count Dec 17, 2007 Pale, touch cloudy. Phenomenal nose, I could smell this beer for hours! Wonderful balance between the hops and the floral component, with a whif of pale malt goodness to tie it all together. The jasmine aroma translated nicely onto the palate. A very successful beer that I expected to dislike. joss (3633), Garching b. München, Germany Dec 8, 2007 Bottle. Cloudy yellow creamy low head. Not much aroma left, a hint jasmine. Good chewy fruity base, nice harmonic aromatic play on top,dry finish. Very pleasant Beershine (2678), Hue, Vietnam Dec 7, 2007 Pours pale with a small but thick head. Excellent jasmine flower nose, much like jasmine tea. Some alcoholic notes in spite of lwo ABV. Perfect blend of jasmine and hop flavors: this works really well. Long lingering jasmine tastes. Perfect mouthfeel, not bursty or sticky. Oakes (8058), gone rambling, Vietnam Dec 7, 2007 Hazy orangey-amber. The aroma is jasmine with a caramelized maltiness in the background. Floral and hoppy, with a beautiful sweetness underneath that allows these characteristics to flow. Finishes with an appetizing bitterness.
