This is a big bottle, bomber, and it really is too much for one person to drink. Hazy medium copper with a thin white head for a rim. Good carbonation that provides continuous bubbles flowing to the top. THe nose is very flowery, grainy and earthy. The taste is intially very bitter, sharp with flowers. Kind of what I imagine chewing on a Jasmine leaf would be like. Kind of abrasive. BillKismet (1918), Seattle, Washington, USA

Balanced, tasty, and highly drinkable. Seemed to enjoy the 2005 version over the 2006 one. jcwattsrugger (5255), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 7, 2006 Bottle and served in standard pint glass: Pours a hazy orangy golden hue topped by a small but lasting frothy head and very good lace. The aroma has notes of mild resiny and spicy hops, flowers, candi sugar, dusty yeast esters and mild citric vapours. The palate is greeted by pungent grapefruit and lemon zest citric notes supported by a a leafy and herbal component with I guess would be accented by the addition of the Jasmine. Get just a smack of white pepper and clove towards the metallic finish with a bitter aftertaste. The mouth feel is lively but not aggressive, a bit papery and dusty. Okay a worth a try even if it is mostly a run-of-the-mill IPA. hopscotch (5474), Vero Beach, Florida, USA

Hazy orange ale with a mid-sized, tight, white head. Terrific retention. Reserved, citrusy, floral aroma with a whisper of biscuit. Excellent balance in flavor... evenly malty, bitter and tangy; straight across the board. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Dry finish. I didn’t pick up on any jasmine in the aroma. Poured medium amber with a slight haze.. short-lived cap of white head that receded to a dusting. Oranges, melons, and bunches of floral on the nose... some herbs and a pervasive sweetness under there. Melon, kiwi, oranges, and caramel at the core of a sweet flavor base.. mild floral and piney bitterness above, and again with the lots of sweetness. Wanted to be creamy on the palate, but the carbonation wouldn’t quite acquiesce... enjoyed the bitter and sweet floral finish. Very solid overall, and exceptionally-drinkable. beermatrix (1497), Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 2, 2006 Slimming dull orangey, golden brown color. Small, compact, off-white foam dawns the top. Whispy, spotty lacing is sporatically spewed about the glass.
Incredibly wonderful floral nose with a honeydew, melon sweetness, and mild, dulled lemon soaked with a crisp Jasmine herbal roundedness. Candyish sweet and floral with a tender crispness. Very nice nose!
Taste is about what you’d expect given the nose. Nice! A brilliant dance of flowers, sweet candy melon and lemon, and even dome hops. Great complexity to the palate as it feathers from a sweet floral accent to a firm standing growth of more flowery stuff with pinches of lemon peel zest and some dryish, leafy, herbal hops. The Jasmine stays long after the finish with an amazing herbal dryness coating the cheeks while just a bit of the sweet, melony, lemony stuff trys to round it off. And gets the job done just enough, as it does add some balance.
Feel is slightly shy of medium with a feathered powdery texture of herbal fluff and hops. Tends to add some action as it gets past the middle and into the finish where the dryness peaks and gets bolder and slightly fuller.
A wonderful concoction of a brew. The Jasmine is a wonderful addition. Although I wouldn’t quite label this an IPA. Still, I like it alot. Reminds me a bit of Rogue Yellow Snow and 3F Gumballhead with a more herbal grab.
