scrizzz (1252), kirkland, Washington, USA Jun 25, 2009 Caramel and bright jasmine aroma. Clear gold. Sweetness is quickly balanced with the spice/herb? hops don’t really come in. Rciesla (3515), Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA Jun 23, 2009 Draft at RNH. Pours a honey amber body with an off white head. Floral earth y notes with a hint of honey and a dry bitter earth character and some light tea notes. troopie (851), USA Jun 21, 2009 Draught. Poured amber golden with thin white head. Little lacing. Very jasminey aroma with a bit of citrus. Hoppy flavour, tastes like an ale, not a jasmine tea. Hoppy finish. This ale had a bit of butteriness as well, which helped to balance the spicy food. DeadGirl (192), West Palm Beach, Florida, USA Jun 16, 2009 Updated: Oct 18, 2009On tap at RNH (NYC). Very thin head with little retention and pours an amber/golden color. Smells like an infusion of jasmine flowers and honey- and the taste hits the palate with a surge of soft, sweet herbal notes. #022 on 16062009, DG. KnN (715), Greenbelt, Maryland, USA Jun 14, 2009 Pours an orange/amber color with a thin white head. Aroma was floral, caramel, not very hoppy, very vegetal, almost some strange broccoli hints. Flavor was the same, some floral notes, some almost cloying sweetness, and a big hit of broccoli water. Not my favorite beer. Beardface (977), Eugene, Oregon, USA Jun 4, 2009 22 oz bottle from Market of Choice. Pours out a light amber color with some solid head and light lacing. Aroma is heavy on the floral side of things, with a light caramel malt smell as well. Flavor is exactly the same, quite flowery backed with light malt. Okay brew, but not one I’ll need to re-visit anytime soon. obxdude10 (1547), Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA May 29, 2009 This is a pretty decent IPA, but it seems to be missing something. The beer pours a light copper color with a decent off-white head. The nose features hints of grass, caramel malt and, I’m just guessing here, those jasmine flowers. I have never smelled or tasted anything like a jasmine flower, so I’m assuming that’s what this unidentifiable flavor is. It appears in the body as well, naturally. This is a pretty well-balanced beer, but missed a bit on the overall inclusion of malt. There’s plenty of hops and other IPA-like notes, but this one just didn’t have the malty backbone that all the great ones have. glennmastrange (809), hobe sound, Florida, USA May 21, 2009 Bottle. Moderate malt aromas of dark bread, caramel, grain and cereal, light to moderate herb note for the hops, light dough for the yeast, with hints of dark dried fruits. Head is small, fizzy with large bubbles, white, with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is clear amber. Flavor starts lightly sweet, moderately acidic and lightly bitter, then finishes lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery but a little slick, with a lively carbonation and a very dry finish. A light and unique smelling IPA.
