I didn’t think this would be very good. Turns out, it was. Floral characteristics of Jasmine, but not in any offensive way. So unique and well made that I brought a bottle home with me.

Transfer from BA review on 1-20-13- Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance – The beer was served a lightly hazed orange amber color with a one finger white head. The head faded very fast leaving almost no lacing at all. Smell – The aroma was a mix of bready aromas and a strong floral hop aroma. As the name of the brew predicts the flowery aroma is mainly of a jasmine aroma, although there are other aromas of a herbal nature mixed with the jasmine flower hop smells. Taste – The taste starts out bready with some caramel sweetness up front. The tongue is quickly met with some hop flavors of a floral and citrus nature. The citrus is on the sweeter side with some orange as well as a light grapefruit taste. Toward the end the floral flavors get stronger, with a jasmine flavor dominating the hop taste. In the end a quite jasmine flower and mildly bready taste is left to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel- The body of the beer was on the average side in terms of its creaminess with a carbonation level that was rather average as well. Both were rather appropriate for a nice balance for the floral hop flavors and the more malty and bready flavor while keeping a good level of drinkability. Overall – A very flowery IPA. It was not all that bitter and was quite easy drinking.

This is good for what it wants to be. Not particularly hoppy -- more of an American pale methinks. Strong jasmine flavor, though, which is unusual and interesting.

Poured from the tap. Strong jasmine aroma and taste make it a little gimmicky, but it works well. Subtle caramel and hops that make for a slightly resinous, dry finish.

I’m a huge fan of jasmine tea (Jasmine Dragon Tears being my favourite luxury blend) and of IPAs so this was an easy buy for me. Aroma of floral hops and jasmine. Gorgeous hazy orange pour into a spigleau IPA glass. Lots of foam head with a ton of lacing left. I was worried that the jasmine would be overpowering as some other reviewers noted but that isn’t the case at all. An exceptional balance is achieved here with tons of floral and citrus notes from the hops, and a noticeable but not overstated flavour of jasmine after the hop flavours fade. Delicious and very well made!

On tap at St. Augustine's. Clear straw golden yellow. Aroma of flowers, candied sugar, citrus. Fuck, someone ordered brusselsprouts around me. Dominates smell. Taste is bittersweet flowers.

Very flowery. The Jasmine blends well with the hops to leave a sweet nectery after taste. The intial flavor is not dissimalar to a flower petal. So, it’s like sucking a sweet flower.

Today’s live review is this. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a nice golden bronzed amber color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. Chunks of what appears to be jasmine flowers seem to be suspended within the body. There’s barely any lacing at all. The smell, well holy jasmine Batman. I once had a jasmine infused beer back when I was stationed in New England by Rock Art and that one has no comparison to this. This has got to be the most jasmine infused smelling beer I’ve ever had. Luckily, after a bit of warming there is some light sweet malt helping to balance it a bit. The taste was sweet and floral (hmmm...go figure). Its fairly balanced between the jasmine and the malts, but this is one that doesn’t seem to show much hoppiness to it. The aftertaste has a nice lingering florally soothingness to it that leads to a semi-dry finish. On the palate, this one sits about a light to medium with a fairly nice refreshing sessionable quality about it. The carbonation is somewhat smooth. Overall, what a really nice relaxing beer and that’s not the alcohol speaking. Though the jasmine could probably be toned back, I’d have probably have this again as a fairly good night cap, oh crap there goes the rest of my day.
