Belgian-style Tripel. A twist on the French expression "Bete Noire", Bete Blanche is extremely drinkable, blonde and somewhat treacherous.

Clear yellow pour with a very small white head. Doughy nectar fruit with orange peel and coriander in the nose lead to big citrus and yeast character in the flavor. Herbal spice and hints of stone fruit follow. Medium palate with a clean moderately dry finish.

22 oz bomber from Roths Sunnyslope Market,Salem. $3.99 2012 version 7.4% alc Straw coloured clear body with a large frothy white head. Aroma is alarmingly subdued and almost lagerish.. The atste is quite nice spicy, phenols, peppery also alcohol is harsh. Did not like the palate really it becomes cloying as soon as this heats up. Very dissapointed..this is only drinkable at very chilly temps as it heats up it all falls apart

poisoneddwarf (1953) - Rathdrum, Idaho, USA - APR 5, 2012
Bomber bought at Super 1 in Rathdrum, ID. Smells of Belgain yeast, banana. Pours hazy gold with a medium white collapsing head; leaves a ring of foam and itty-bitty lace. Taste is lightly sweet, spicy, meaty, phenolic, soapy, some clove; finishes a little bitter. Carbonation is average, body medium to a little on the thin side. A good, if slightly flawed tripel.

Virtually no smell - very very very subtle belgian yeast, fine head; tasted as subtle as it smelled. Then I had some fries with it, and...wow, the beer bloomed. Honey, apricot, apple blossom. Very enjoyable with food, pretty unimpressive by itself.
