Belgian-style Tripel. A twist on the French expression "Bete Noire", Bete Blanche is extremely drinkable, blonde and somewhat treacherous.

Clear yellow pour with a very small white head. Doughy nectar fruit with orange peel and coriander in the nose lead to big citrus and yeast character in the flavor. Herbal spice and hints of stone fruit follow. Medium palate with a clean moderately dry finish.

Bomber bought at Super 1 in Rathdrum, ID. Smells of Belgain yeast, banana. Pours hazy gold with a medium white collapsing head; leaves a ring of foam and itty-bitty lace. Taste is lightly sweet, spicy, meaty, phenolic, soapy, some clove; finishes a little bitter. Carbonation is average, body medium to a little on the thin side. A good, if slightly flawed tripel.

22 oz bomber from Roths Sunnyslope Market,Salem. $3.99 2012 version 7.4% alc Straw coloured clear body with a large frothy white head. Aroma is alarmingly subdued and almost lagerish.. The atste is quite nice spicy, phenols, peppery also alcohol is harsh. Did not like the palate really it becomes cloying as soon as this heats up. Very dissapointed..this is only drinkable at very chilly temps as it heats up it all falls apart

From tap at the Pike brewpub location. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is roasted malty and light yeasty fruity to spiced. Kept on the dry and phenolic sides. Dry malty and smooth fruity to dry hoppy into the finish.

Oh I quite like this, especially that its a triple. Lighter head and body, but with nice yeasty notes. Not too sweet or estery.

A decent wit style beer. Good frothy white head. It is a fairly simple composition with detection of coriander.

From the bomber bottle as a gift from my neighbor Bob. You probably won’t find a better triple made on this side of the ocean than this one from Elysian. Color is perfect as is the light effervescence. The nose is delicate and taste runs to the sweeter side, but seems appropriate to balance the yeast elements. High points as well for the mysterious robed lady label. I’m hoping this becomes a seasonal for 2012.
