3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cloudy, pale orange appearance with a small, greyish-white head and modest lacing. Initial barnyard aroma dissipates quickly and is replaced with yeast and spicy hops. Solid malt backbone paired well with the yeasty flavors up front and the dry, hoppy aftertaste. Medium bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel, noticable alcohol, all leading to a long lasting finish.

Very drinkable, and very good, Bete Blanche is a nice Blonde Tripel, enjoyable by all. It is not a very complex beer, but it is one of the most enjoyable beers I’ve had.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This has been on the shelf in the beer cellar for a couple years. Pours a honey orange with a good size white head and light lacing. Nose is lightly roasted caramel malts and some noble hops tending toward floral. Medium plus in body. Smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is floral and spicy. There is some stone fruit in the peppery finish. Really enjoyable.

Poured from 12oz bottle. Smooth opening with hints of candied citrus in the nose. Accents of lemongrass tickle the tastebuds before a warming finish. Definitely one i will have again.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
I get that belgian yeast aroma with bit of orange and a touch of a floral hop note in this cloudy pale orange brew with a small white head of tiny bubbles. An upfront bitter taste is quickly overcome by a sweet malty fruity flavor in this medium bodied brew. Not a bad brew but i think a tripel should be a bit more pale and more of a yeasty flavor. Worth a but for sure.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Set out for a classic tripel, this was not totally what I expected. Pours a honey orange. Faint head fades quickly. Very sweet up front. Sugary. Fades to hints of orange. Not bad, but not what I expected.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma of banana and cloves, some Belgian yeast strain. Pours a clear yellow into the tulip glass. Taste is similar to the aroma except that there is way too much malted sugars here, cloying sweetness. Finish is fairly dry but again, the sugars overwhelm the yeast here, not very appetizing.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at home. Pours nearly clear pale gold with a medium-small tight bubble frothy white head, short retention fading to the glass edge with light spotty lacing. Aroma is lightly fusel alcohol, medium pear and apple fruity esters, medium biscuit and Pils malt, no DMS or diacetyl, faint spicy hops, and light brown paper/sherry oxidation notes. Flavor is light sugar, light notes of dry and spicy/peppery fusel alcohol, light pear esters, dry and crisp biscuit malt backbone, faint hops and light spiciness accentuated by the alcohol and dryness, and a dry finish. Medium-full body, light carbonation, and medium-light alcohol warmth.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours golden and pretty clear. A fat creamy head of bone white foam falls pretty quickly to a thin ring. leaves sheets of lace to slide back into the glass as you drink. The nose is shy on this one. It’s lovely sweet pale malts, tropical fruit sweetness and the zest of a lime. Nice citrus peel and as it warms some lemon peel shows up. No alcohol on the nose but there is a faint musk as ti warms.
Taste is abundant. The malts are pale but sweet , lightly breaddy and the tropical fruit sweetness takes the middle of the beer. It seems to never end and you can taste it long after the finish. There is a faint hop spice on the back end with a touch of hop bitter to finish this dry and a little grassy. A touch of astringency as well as a bit of warmth from alcohol in the finish. The mouthfeel is thin, the carbonation is ample but soft and this beer is just lovely.
