The rainbow bridge made from fire, air and water, used by the gods to travel from the world tree, Yggdrasil, to the heavens. Asgard. Brewed with Pale malt and small amounts of Munich and Crystal malts. Bittered with Centennial, finished with Amarillo and Styrian Goldings hops. Strong, hoppy, and smööth

That’s how you make a winter ale. 7.5% alc. to keep warm. Light and crisp so you can drink a few. And the hops are subtle enough to enjoy. December 6th, 2012.

Transfer from BA review on 1-16-13- Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance – The beer is served a hazy orange amber color with a small white head. The head fades fast to leave a nice level of lacing on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma has notes of some sweeter and some bitter citrus mixed with tropical fruit smells. The sweeter citrus is of a tangerine smell while the bitter is more grapefruit in nature. The tropical fruits were a mix of mango and pineapple, giving the beer, when mixed with the tangerine, an overall sweeter smell. Taste – The taste begins with a bready and malty taste. It is quite smooth with some flavors of an orange and caramel flavor upfront. As the taste moves on, some more resinous bitter hop flavors enter the taste. Flavors of grapefruit and some light pine taste. More toward the end more sweet flavors of caramel as well as a biscuit flavor comes to the tongue. These combined with the hop to leave a sort of chewy, mildly bittered, biscuit flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the creamy and chewier side with a carbonation level that is rather average. The creamier flavors really accentuate the resinous hop flavors well as well as bolster the malty and biscuit taste. Pretty nicely done. Overall - I actually rather enjoyed this beer. It had a good, but not overly so, resinous hop flavor that melded well with the lighter fruit, citrus and malty flavors of the brew.

he first second after sip is wonderful. Smooth, warm, and subtly sweet. The next second comes back with an unforgiving sharp and bitter bite. Its like tasting all the most beauitful parts of winter, in a snowstorm without anything to keep the frostbite off your face. Its good, but I don’t think I would buy it again.

Bottle from the BottleDog and drunk at home. It’s either the crystal malt I don’t like or that this is a little less than fresh. Finish though remains pretty fresh. A little spicyness, a little bitterness on the finish. Good mouthfeel good carbonation. Just a little dull. Some ok milk chocolate flavour later. Some ok sting on the finish. Aroma of staleish American malt isn’t great.

Bottle from hunger N thirst. Pours dark and golden with a thin white head. Doesn’t have a lot of lacing. Has a bit of the Christmas tree lot on the nose. Kind of scotchy on the tongue without tasting very good. Finishes a little rough. Not feeling this one.

Very flavorful ale with and interesting hoppy and malty flavor. Palate is a little sharp. Aroma is very nice and I really like the golden orange color

Bottle: Dark golden pour with perfect clarity. A creamy finger of sticky beige head. Great retention and tons of sheet lacing. Nose is mostly citrus and pine with a light hint of caramel malt. Sticky, resin-filled mouthful of pine and floral hops. Some citrus too. A decent malt backer, but great hop flavors dominate throughout. Very nice stuff here.

Keg at Brewdog Birmingham; deep amber pour with big off white head, fruity tangerine aroma, citrus and grapefruit taste doesn’t taste like a 7.4 ABV well hidden very drinkable.
