3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 BiddleBrau (766) - Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 17, 2012On tap, nitro, at Khyber Pass. I liked this. Fairly mild overall but easy to drink. Black with big tan head minimal nose. Creamy mouth feel. Roast was minimal but hint of a sour/tart bite. Smooth and light.
3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 NikkTwist (892) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 16, 2012
Nitro draft at Khyber Pass. Obviously trying to mimic a Guinness. Double pour. Looks mostly like a Guinness. Maybe a bit darker. Similar mouthfeel. Definite coffee aroma (which differs right off from a Guinness.) Medium palate. Burnt coffee notes. Certainly dry like an Irish Stout (or maybe at least as opposed to a thick sweet English Imperial) but lacks subtlety or character. Bit of a harsher burnt bite than the original, but not bad it and of itself.

Tap (Nitro) at Elysian Fields, Seattle - 09/11/12.
Mid black with a big tan head that retains well, good lacing ensues.
Nose is dry roast malt, mineral tones, light chocolate, barley.
Taste follows exactly.
Light medium bodied with light spritzy carbonation lending towards a roast finish.
Usual Nitro - Shitro, looks good, feels good on the palate but lacks in smell and flavour!

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 LarryBeast (273) - - JUN 18, 2012
On draft at Elysian Fields. Deep black in the pint with a thick cushion of creamy head on top. Chocolate mocha and roast aromas. Uber smooth with a hint of fruity sweetness to accent the deeper malts and roast flavours. Lush and full-bodied, Guinness-esque. Loved it, wish I didn’t have to travel to Seattle to try it on tap.

Draft @ Elysian Fields. Black thick beige head. Cola and cream soda aroma but not in a bad way. Soft silky nitro. Almost no roast. The sour mash adds character and very pintable. The most Irish Irish stout outside Ireland. Excellent rendition.
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 1FastSTi (3151) - Glendale, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 26, 2011
Tap at Elysian. I have no idea how this beer rates this low. It is phenomenal. Pours to a pitch black body with a clingy gorgeous tan lacing and coating head. Aroma is very chocolate and burnt black patent. Has that rounded Irish yeast and light citrus hops. Flavor is roasted malt but balanced and much easier drinking than Guinness. Sweet finish on a clean dry body that’s bordering on a light astringency,

Draft at Tangletown.
Poured dark brown/black with a frothy thick tan head. Nose was sweet chocolate, bitter dark chocolate, coffee (roasted), and slight licorice. Taste was mainly roasted coffee, dark chocolate, and slight hops. Mouthfeel was watery gross. Not a great Irish stout.

Nitro pours black with a viscous tan head. Nice dry blackened malty aromas with some black coffee. Creamy smooth mouthfeel. Classic flavor is dry black malts with a mildly bitter finish. Decent enough.@ Tangletown.
