It drips with tropical, sunshiny Mosaic, and twinkles with touches of Eldorado and Centennial. A touch of wheat hazes the malt bill a bit around the edges and the IBUs are stuck in the mid-sixties. SG 16•P/1.064

Une bonne IPA fruité. Pas trop amer mais assez du corps. Je ne sais pas si j’aime l’addition du blé mais bonne quand même.

On tap at beer wars Boise. Pours out a golden topped with a sand head. Nose is nice grapefruit pithy notes pineapple caramel sweetness and some rich malts. Taste is more of the grapefruit pithy bitterness pineapple and nice malt bill to hold it together.

Not bad stuff here. I enjoyed it well enough. Good balance with some high spruce and resin peaks. Side note: This buyout stuff is really beginning to concern me; it is antithetical to the principles craft beer was founded on. And yes, it will affect my purchasing decisions. It has to. Of course it will.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a clear orange amber color with a big billowy white head. The head fades slowly over time to leave a bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the brew is big of a delicious tropical and citrus fruit smell with tons of tangerine, pineapple and mango. Along with the huge sweet tropical fruit smells comes a little bit of an earthy smell along with just a hint of a pine hop, leaving one with a rather sweet and deliciously hopped smell. Taste – The taste begins much drier then I was anticipating from the nose. It starts with a bit of a tropical fruit flavor of tangerine, pineapple, and mango, with these flavors fading as the taste moves further. All the while, some other hop tastes start working their way onto the tongue with a little bit of pine and grass and a more bitter grapefruit hop taking the taste by storm. The grapefruit really takes on the bulk of the hop more toward the end, and with a fading of some of the tropics, one is left with a very lightly sweetened and bitter grapefruit, but still balanced hopped flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the slightly thinner and crisper side with a carbonation level that is on the average side. For the slightly drier and more grapefruit hopped flavor that is on the tongue at the end the feel is rather nice making for a crisp and more refreshing brew overall. Overall- The smell of the brew is fantastic, and while the taste is not what would be expected from the nose, it is overall very crisp, flavorful, and enjoyable. This was a rather nice brew overall and one I will certainly come back to again in the future.
