Jul 12, 2008 This was a really great beer. Poured black as hell with a dark brown/reddish head. I smell chocolate, toffee, cane syrup and molasses. Thick and rich on the palate...great roastiness and really good chocolate on the tongue. This one was a winner. Very, very nice!

Jul 12, 2008 Oily black pour, deep brown head. Intense roast aroma, sweet, chocolate and molasses. Thick, heavy creamy mouthfeel. Beautiful roasted malt in generous abundance, bitter chocolate, coffee, subtle anise. finish is long and bitter. I didn’t want this to end!

Jul 7, 2008 Thanks to acertain for the bomber. Dark brown pour with a tiny head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate and roasted malts. Slightly milky. Medium body with a balanced taste (Between sweet and dry).

Jul 4, 2008 22oz. Dark, nearly black, pour with a creamy tan head. Coffee and dutch cocoa aroma, hops, smoky malt, roasty. Flavor is balanced, long bitter finish. Coffee and cocoa again. Smooth, but a tad watery, leaves an oily film. Decent beer.

Jun 25, 2008 Bomber, I think a newer one via trade, and shared with my GF Cyn. Pours black with a 1 finger tan head. Nose is sweet and rich with lots of nice maltyness. Taste is sweet chocolaty and overall pretty damn nice. Nice brew.

Jun 13, 2008 Dark brown pour with 2 finger head and spotty lacing. Coffee, chocolate, and roast on the nose. Medium bodied excellent beer. Roasted malts & chocolate with a dry finish.

Jun 12, 2008 Pours black, hint of ruby-brown when held up to the light, rich brown head with moderate retention and some lacing. Spectacular aroma of chocolate, black licorice, dark coffee and herbs. Flavor is roasty with a dry, herbal finish and a respectable hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is rich and without too much carbo getting in the way. Delicious.
