Roasty nose and taste and a solid dandelion root bitterness. Qualities similar to some imperial stouts. Alcohol is detectable and imparts an occasional sweetness. Good palate. Deep, dark noted, slightly bitter chocolate aroma and flavor, with some alcohol notes contributing complexity. Strong roasted and chocolate component throughout the experience. Excellent beer for a rainy day or to enjoy with chocolate. CapFlu (3481), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

Flavour is rich and sweet coffee and chocolate, with a slap of bitterness to it. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Nov 1, 2007 Bottle from the A2M ranger himself: Sean. Pours out a dark black color with a tan head that comes from the bottom. The nose is full of roasted coffee and almost a sweet smelling sugar with it. Kind of like a milk stout, but not repulsive like they are. Taste is smooth and rich, very chocolately but not overly sweet. No alcohol detected, and dangerously easy to drink. A really good beer, in a typically under appreciated style. Good stuff. MI2CA (1266), Noblesville, Indiana, USA

Appealing with cocoa, lacto and just a touch of hops. Pours black with a small brown ring head and good lacing. Flavor is a mild match to the aroma. Palate is sticky and ashy. A tasty stout.
