Pours a midnight pitch black with a large tan head. Aroma has roasted notes of licorice, coffee, and chocolate. .It is bold and complex with many layers, with primarily flavors of roasted coffee, licorice, and chocolate (and a lot more underneath). Finish and aftertaste are dry and roasted and lingering. The citrus/piney hops balance it all out quite nicely.
