Ungstrup (11385), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 11, 2006 A pitch black beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet matly with notes of roasted malt and light notes of coffee. The flavor is sweet malty and very roasted combined with notes of coffee, leading to a dry roasted, bitter, and burnt end. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 24, 2006 Bottled. Very black. Aroma of chocolate and molasses. Sweetish with thick, rounded mouthfeel, notes of coffee. Near full bodied, but somewhat sticky mouthfeel. Salty, bitter finish. Papsoe (10510), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 9, 2006 (Bottle 65 cl) Completely black and opaque with a light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt and vanilla. Medium body with plenty of hard roasted malt and a vague, underlying sweetness. Vanilla in the flavour also. A lightly burned edge, but no major bitterness. Courtesy of acertain. 061006 Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Feb 20, 2005 Basically black colour with dark brown thick natural head. Roasty, nutty, rich aroma with dark chocolate hints and sweet dark malts. Rich palate and full body. By the numbers stout with roast barley & nutty notes draped over a bitter hop and sweet chocolate backdrop. Well-made. Ramping up the body without getting fruity and imperial works well for stouts. joergen (6529), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 8, 2006 Bottle.
