Barclay (my dog) drank the shit out of this beer. He is very picky you see, and anything he drinks, I must say is a great beer. This beer was very smooth, and very sweet. I think the hop profile was overrated, but the chocolate/coffee flavors, and the nice chocolate brown head, were awesome. This beer is great and underrated. dkingsella (92), Portland, Oregon, USA

Aroma: Coffee, bittersweet chocolate, some caramel, roasted malts, and a bit of earth
Appearance: Dark brown color, poured with a thin brown head, and a bit of lace
Flavor: Nice malty taste, coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, roasted malts, some light earthy/pete hops
Palate: A nice, thick, medium-full bodied beer, smooth and creamy mouthfeel
Overall Impression:
I think you need to allow this one to breathe for a bit to get the full affect of the nose. This beer has a nice flavor profile. It is a good, smooth stout, that I enjoyed quite a bit.
