Commercial Description:
A smooth and sturdy stout, made with 10% rolled oats, roasted barley and chocolate malt. The name is referential to the founders of Thebes, warriors who sprang from the earth when the teeth of a slain dragon were sown by Cadmus. Bittered with Chinook; finished with Cascade and Columbus hops.

[bottle] shared by skyview. Pours very dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted barley, candi sugar, and a little alcohol. Flavor is chocolate and coffee, and is quite bittersweet. Very nice full mouthfeel, almost like an imperial stout.

This one surprised me. I had passed this one up in the store many times but finally decided to give it a try and glad i did. Heavy nose of rum raisins, cherry liquer. Smooth on the tongue and generous with the roasted chocolate and overall rummy flavour. Finishes well with some good bitterness. The balance is something of a miracle here...allowing the natural elements to shine through. One interesting thing aboiut Dragonstooth is that it is a 7.4% abv but somehow manages to taste like it is higher....weird. Very enjoyable stout!

Bomber. Pours a non-transparent black with 2 finger tan head and spotty lacing. Nose is chocolate and roasted malts. Taste is coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted, smoky malt and molasses with a biting hop finish that lingers on the tongue for awhile. Smooth, creamy mouth feel. Very good – nice surprise. Thanks Matt Maples for substituting this in my order - good choice!

This was a really great beer. Poured black as hell with a dark brown/reddish head. I smell chocolate, toffee, cane syrup and molasses. Thick and rich on the palate...great roastiness and really good chocolate on the tongue. This one was a winner. Very, very nice!

Oily black pour, deep brown head. Intense roast aroma, sweet, chocolate and molasses. Thick, heavy creamy mouthfeel. Beautiful roasted malt in generous abundance, bitter chocolate, coffee, subtle anise. finish is long and bitter. I didn’t want this to end!

Thanks to acertain for the bomber. Dark brown pour with a tiny head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate and roasted malts. Slightly milky. Medium body with a balanced taste (Between sweet and dry).
