(draft) Clear amber body with off-white head. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit, caramel. Taste is moderately sweet, pine/grapefruit, caramel, light mint. Medium body, some chewiness.

Cask version @ brewpub. Opaque dark orange with a fluffy stable white head. Brightly hopped aroma. Amarillo? Yum. Fruity. Oranges with fresh, oily hop buds on top. Quaffable, so very very quaffable! Goes down easily. Is earthier and milder flavored than the aromas let on. The body is balanced and mellow. Liked a lot.

2005 Release..5.25% ABV--30 IBU’s.? (4.0 / 5.0) Rich lacy head. Clear bright amber golden color. Light BC sediment. Mellow floral hop front. Creamy malty doughy mild sweet caramel mild fruit body. Smooth mild citrus balanced hop spice end. Nice malty Pale Ale. Sampled 7/23/2005.
2006 Release. (4.5 / 5.0) Mild lace head. Clear rich deep amber color. Earthy floral hop front. Rich thick creamy caramel mild citrus chewy bisquit mild sweet body. Crusty earthy rich hop spice bitter clean end. Classic NW Pale. Sampled 4/19/2006.
2007 Release. (4.25 / 5.0) Rich lacy ochre head. Cloudy bright orange gold color. Nice floral medium hop ester front. Tart mild creamy dry sweet citrus caramel grapefruit pine mild bisquit body. Rich citrus hop clean tart end. IPAish. Sampled 5/23/2007.

On tap at Tangletown. Pours a hazy dark gold with a white head. Strong metallic gypsum. Quick finish of mild citrus and grapefruit.

On tap at Tangletown. Another great, archetypal northwest pale ale. dark hazed amber pour. Huge fresh citrus, pine, banana-nut. Smooth and flavor packed. An essential beer.

On tap. Pours red gold with thick beige head and some clingyness. Aromas of caramel, burnt sugar and some breadiness. Bit funky with earthy hops and a bitter grapefruit finish. Florals come out with food.

On tap at the Elysian Fields pub. Colour... dark gold with no head. Nose... light hops and some malt. Palate... lightly hoppy, malty and citrusy. Kind of blah, really.

Beautiful fresh hop aroma. Even after 15 minutes. Wow. This has more bittering hops than the IPA. Strong bitterness but very good.

Draft. Pours a copper amber body with an off white head. Very fresh hop character, grassy with grapefruit and pine notes. Very fresh and delicious. What more can i say, this is awesome!

First what a name! A very bitter pale ale, more like an IPA with a strong citrus hop character.
