Serving: 22 oz. bottle from State Line Liquors. It pours a hazy yellow with a small head. The nose smells like the ginger you get with your sushi. The flavor is ginger overload and a strong, dry bitterness. The pumpkin is completely covered up by the ginger. It was a struggle to get the glass down and I certainly didn’t want another. With some balance this combination might be good, but this ain’t balanced.

I recommend this beer if you have an upset stomach other wise for enjoyment forget it! Where is the pumpkin? Just chew on Ginger.

I’m a huge lover of ginger but this is WAY OVER THE TOP with the ginger. Great aroma, nice golden color and over bearing with the ginger; any hint of pumkin is completely over washed. Pity.

First impression: Heavy on the ginger.
Overall pretty tasty. Went well with a pumpkin, cream soup (with maple cinnamon bacon).

From 22oz bottle to shaker. Pour is a light gold, medium white head. Mose is odd, obvious ginger, slight hop, floral notes. Taste is light bodied, mostly sour with touches of sweetness. Finishes like an IPA with that lingering hopiness. Not really my style here not a big ginger fan.

pours slightly darker than straw yellow, white head with good retention. ginger bomb up in here, no pumpkin, but what evs. this is a train wreck.

I like ginger. But this beer is unbalanced, far too heavily weighted in ginger. There's some pumpkin trying to come through, but it keeps getting squashed by the ginger. C+

You better like ginger because this is a ginger bomb more ginger then anything. Poor is very pleasing cloudy yellow with a large white,bubbly head that sticks to glass. Has the ginger heat and will marry well with sushi or any other lite fish. Couldn’t drink many but very good for what it is.

[5088-20130202] Tap. Herbal fresh gingery aroma. Hazy, orange brown body with a quick creamy white head. Spicy ginger grains flavour. Medium body is super gingery. Tasty and bitter but all ginger. (7/3/7/4/16) 3.7

THOUGHTS: Holy Cow! That was a ton of ginger. Both in flavor and aroma. Maybe not the best pumpkin beer around, and maybe not even a good pumpkin beer, but it was a wonderful beer if you love ginger. It was a little too much ginger for me, but only by a little. The spicy hops blended wonderfully with the ginger.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a hazy, light, dirty, yellow that wound up looking like it had a lightly green tint. It also had a large, ever-so-slightly, off-white head that mostly diminished and left good lacing. The aroma was fresh and clean and contained ginger, and mostly ginger — almost perfume like, but slightly soapy, too. The initial flavor was slightly sweet and lightly bitter; while the finish was lightly sweet and moderately bitter with an average duration. There was a little pale malt, mostly ginger, some spicy hops that blended right into the ginger, and slightly sour pumpkin when warmer. The light body was somewhat dry and hot on the tongue with sort of soft but tingly carbonation and a dry and sort of metallic finish with heat from the spices.
