COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed at our stadium location Elysian Fields brewery in Seattle. Brewed with organic pale, Weyermann Munich and Cara-Hell malts, with pumpkin added in the mash, kettle and fermenter. Spiced with peeled and pureed fresh ginger in the boil and bright tank and hopped with lots of Czech Saaz hops (otherwise it wouldn’t be traditional).

4oz sampler at the Snallygaster event. Eh, this one was funky - no so much pumpkin but a ginger beer, and there’s simply too much ginger in this one to enjoy. Next time go to have sushi and jam all the shaved ginger into your mouth, that’s this beer. Otherwise finely carbonated. They’d be better off re-branding this as a "ginger" beer, not a pumpkin one.

Tried at Snallygaster Fest in D.C. Golden color with white head. Light pumpkin spice aroma. Some caramel flavor followed by pumpkin spice flavors and some hops.

On tap at Capone’s. Poured a golden / amber color with an off white head. Pumpkin pie spices, pumpkin, with some grassiness. A little toasty as well.

Bomber bottle from my neighbor Bob - thanks! From the perspective of someone who ordinarily rejects all things pumpkin, I found this gem to be of a different and pleasing variety. The ginger spicing and balanced hops really make this palatable, so please try a taste, especially if you need converting to the melon mania as I did.

Bottle from Uptown. Pours a light clear, yellow color with a small white head. Smells very strong of ginger. The ginger taste is a little too exotic for me as I prefer hoppy beers. Not very good and I like Elysian beers, especially Loser.

(Draught) Pours a lightly hazy yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of ginger, soap, caramel, pumpkin, and clove. Flavor of ginger, grass, herbs, pumpkin, and grain with a dry, moderately bitter finish.

Golden pour, white head. Ginger and pumpkin aroma. Tastes of spicy ginger and has a solid background of pumpkin, mild grain and straw. This is pretty simple, but uses the ginger excellently. It complements the pumpkin and doesn’t overpower. A very nice lighter seasonal.

On tap on Falling Rock. Pours with a hazy yellow body with a small white head. Aromas of ginger, wheat , candied ginger, spicy, ginger ale, earthy. Flavors are peppery, a bit vegital and quite gingery (all aspects). Medium to lively bubbles a bit of pepper left on the palate. Spicy.

Draft at Falling Rock during the Pumpkin Event. Yep, a ginger beer. Lots of ginger beer. Pours a pretty clear gold with white head. Nose is a wallop of ginger and light citrus. On taste, firm bitterness and strong ginger notes. Slightly warming overall. The ginger in this is fantastic and keeps from being overwhelming, somehow. Don’t gather much pumpkin, but whatever. Good beer!

On tap at the 2009 Great Pumpkin Festival, Cambridge Brewing Company, Cambridge MA on 31 October 2009 at 4.5%. Quite pale gold colour. Not much evident "pumpkin" character. Not a huge amount of ginger in the aroma either. More of a bready/cereal character reminiscent of muesli. Ginger is more apparent in the flavour but still quite subtle. Slightly metallic, flinty (but soft) mouthfeel. Overall perfectly acceptable but lacking in excitement.
