Flat tang-orange appearance with a very "horsey" nose. Distinct Brett infusion. Strong and nearly overpowering at moments. Sour flavor that could use some aging to mellow it out. Exceptionally funnky and a bit "green" for my tastes.

2011 Elysian GPBF #12. Hazy golden color/ no head,... oh yeah i get the name now. Mild pumpkin meat, bretty lactic aromas. Medium bodied with little if any co2. Bready pale malt, dry spice flavors--not really tart or sour at all--reminded me of a weak Saison or something like that--Elysian should save some of this for next years pumpkinfest, maybe it will have soured up by then--

Tap @ Elysian’s Great Pumpkin Beer Fest... A very immature brett beer, but still on its way to success. Poured cloudy, bright golden-orane with a thin head. A minute bit of funk with hints of oak and yeast spiciness. Also a nutty pumpkin character too.

Draft at GPBF. Pours a slightly hazy greenish gold. Loose film of suds on the top. Gorgeously appealing big lemony nose. Medium body with a bit of fizz kicking in. Mid-palate gets a little bit orangey, has a citric, somewhat acidic tang. Promising enough, but maybe a bit too soon to tell where this one’s gonna go.
