Draught. Rather ordinary looking IPA. Wonderful floral aroma, with some forest-y tunes. Full bodied, well balanced the brewer allowed the malt its song. Lingering hop finish.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap: Clear copper color with a small white head and sticky lacing all about. Mellow floral aroma and pine. Strong bitter aftertaste of extreme grapefruit rind. Pretty solid IPA

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle with Pat, poured a lowly carbíd orange color with soapy white head and random medium lacing. Aromas are the cheesiest, buttery nelson hops you can find. Kind of like a plate of cheez-its with butterscotch on top. Cool. Bitter on tongue. Very good ipa. Maybe a little too sweet.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Split with and courtesy of Vinnie. Pours a clear reddish orange with specks of hop sediment suspended throughout and a fat, foamy, sudsy off-white head. The aroma is so, so cheesy, oniony, and grassy with a bunch of melon, passionfruit, and ripe orange. The flavor is very odd, but good: soft notes of cheddar cheese up front with a bunch of onion, soft hop resin, and some subtly bitter orange flavors as it finishes. The palate is so, so, so smooth and soft and the carbonation is present enough to allow the beer to stand on its own two legs, but minimal enough that the beer nearly evaporates on oneís tongue. Really cool, different IPA.

August 2012 Another bottle from Whole foods. Much more robust and hoppy.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Great amber-orange hue with a nice head and lingering lace. Green and earthy nose. Bold yet clean bitterness from start to finish. Grassy, leafy and floral. Also notes of citrus (grapefruit, lemon, tangerine), but theyíre not as pronounced as they are in an IPA made with PNW hops (especially the "C" hops). Possibly even some mint. Mild malt flavors with elements of bread and crackers, with a very mild sweetness.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On Tap at Tap and Mallet. Copper in color, with a thin white head. Floral and fruity hops aroma and flavor. The malt body was strong with a grapefruit like flavor. Nice IPA.

4.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: JUN 10, 2012 Very floral and citrus hop nose with a surprising malt backbone. Clear deep copper coloured body is topped by a generous and lasting white head that coats the glass with lacing. Nice caramel and toasted malt backbone supports citrus and floral hop flavours. Moderate bitterness keeps the sweetness in check but isnít overly strong. Medium body with decent SPF bubbled carbonation. Lovely palate. Enjoyed on tap at Alibi Room. Not re-rating, but in the bottle I didnít enjoy this nearly as much. It seemed a bit thin and one-dimensional. I would have rated the bottled version (from Liberty - Commercial in June 2012) as much as a full point lower.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours clear copper with a creamy/bubbly beige head. Aroma of citrus and tropical fruit. Seems guava to me. Near full bodied. Lots of floral and fruit. Not exactly guava but close. Also grapefruit rind. Thereís some light caramel for backbone. Itís marvelously hoppy and bitter.
