3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap @ The BeerMongers during the Super Bowl... Poured deep, amber orange with an off-white head. Nose of strong floral, pungent, resinous-spiced hops. Tons of hop flavor yet not over powering with bitterness. Mild malt sweetness for balance but mostly the Nelson Sauvin hops shined with citrus and floral earthy characters.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JAN 30, 2012 Had this beer well into the Oregon Brew Fest so lower rating may be circumstance of taste bud overload. Enjoyable but not memorable.

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The passion fruit here is absolutely entrancing and a wonderful, unexpected treat in an IPA. I wanted to just stop and pause with the aroma some more before moving on to the tasting, which offers a moderate bitterness and less interest. A spectrum of colors to gaze at in the glass as well. Attractive, appealing, but more curb appeal than livability. (on tap at brewpub)

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
An orange amber IPA with a thin white head. In aroma, a pleasant pungent grapefruity hops, resinous and floral, lightly funky, marmelade. In mouth, a smooth bitter IPA with biscuitty malt, pinhey hops, catnip, very nicely balanced, not in your face, medium bodied. On tap at Oregon Brewer’s Fest, July 31 2011.

Cask at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Muddy amber color, with creamy small head. Very nice aroma, sweet and fruity; apricot and oranges; some malt. Good toffee flavor, sweetish, with huge hopping; fruity and resiny, piney; lots of bitter oranges and some grapefruit; but also a bit yeasty and just overly bitter, which means the final is then quite harsh. Fresh.
