651mL. Pours clear orange topped by rocky buttermilk foam. Sweet Mayan onion nose with orange candy drops. Taste is butterscotch candy with mild sweet onion and buttered sweet rolls. Palate is slicker with nutty bitterness. Not bad. No offensive diacetyl. Odd hop bill. Finishes tannic and dry. Slight tea leaf character. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The nose has a fruit aroma, perhaps cascade hop. Touch of pineapple. The flavor is a bitter, pineapple, touch of grapefruit and apricot. Really balanced. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Wonderful combination of fresh hops and tropical overtones, a pungent sweetness greats your nose. It pours a golden amber in color with medium body and light head. A nice saturation of citrus and guava hits your tongue before revealing its smooth malt character. It finishes with a strikingly bitterness kind of like biting into some lime zest.

draft at Coles, Buffalo NY. Golden Orange pour, Fruity aroma, tropical notes, herbal. Solid bitterness, herbal numbness on the tongue, sweet passion fruit, refreshing mouthfeel. awakens your palate almost. Nice IPA

A so so beer. Aroma was all Nelson Sauvin. The passion fruit/mango aroma gives it away. Not much else going on. Pour was a cloudy orange with a one finger off white head. Taste was alright. The NS hops make for a different IPA flavor than I like. That melon flavor (passion fruit/mango/cantaloupe) hits you up front. It doesn’t get sweet but feels a little thick in the mouth feel. No other flavors come out. The bitterness of the hops kick in in the aftertaste. Earthy hops and dull citrus flavors come out. Finish is very quick and not many flavors linger. Nice carbonation.

22 oz. bottle purchased at Central Market in Mill Creek, WA. Unfortunately, my nose is a little stuffed, so I won’t be able to give my best effort....but I couldn’t wait to try it. Pours a lovely dark amber color with an off-white head. Aroma: Grapefruit and a sweet smell. Flavor: Same as the aroma, with sweet malt.

Nice white head, sorta rocky and fluffly all at once.Lasting with good lace. Hazy copper hued brew. Nose is spicey with notes of light citrus, little grainy also. Body is medium, lightly oily and resiny, gentle carbonation. Laid back hop flavors of citrus and pine along with some earthen notes, dry toasty malts. Finish is fairly dry, lightly fruity with a tame bitterness. Bomber from statelineliquors.

Shared 22oz. bomber. Poured hazy amber with chunks of floaties. Sweet malts balanced well with notes of pine and citrus. Slightly spicy, funky finish. Medium bodied. The Nelson Sauvin hops seem a bit Tomahawk-esque.

This beer is absolutely fantastic! I’m bummed it will only be available for a limited time. The big hoppy passionfruit aroma and flavor is well balanced with a substantial malt profile. Hoppy AND balanced is the way forward if you ask me. Elysian did a killer job with this one hop Nelson Sauvin wonder

Tap at Mahaffey’s. Pours clear dark amber with a medium, frothy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is grassy, resin, floral and citrus hops with biscuit malt and fruity esters. Flavor is heavy hops and bitterness, supporting malt and fruity esters with a dry finish. Medium body, warmth and carbonation.
