3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a gorgeous hazy amber with thick white head. Strong and inviting grapefruit aroma, very little hop. Mild on the palate initially with citrus and bitterness picking up shortly after. Grassy finish.

Dry with a hoppy finish. Needs more malt to balance the hoppy profile. Very drinkable but I would not rush out to buy again.

For my preferences, this is a nearly perfect beer, with Pliny the Elder being the standard-bearer. As such this reminds me greatly of the Elder, though with a slight advantage of tasting less alcohol. At Parkway Tavernís IPA Fest, 28Sep2010.

Very good look, lots of lace, copper color. Gray amount of head. Lots of citrus, tropical fruits and some pine. Flavor is much of the same with a solid malt backbone providing the sweetness to balance the hops. Michel itís a medium, with soft carbonation that gives the beer a nice feel. Very drinkable, a solid offering from elysian.

Definite passion fruit aroma, then full hoppy bitterness in the middle. Excellent, everything I hope for in an IPA.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
This beer is absolutely fantastic! Iím bummed it will only be available for a limited time. The big hoppy passionfruit aroma and flavor is well balanced with a substantial malt profile. Hoppy AND balanced is the way forward if you ask me. Elysian did a killer job with this one hop Nelson Sauvin wonder

Wonderful combination of fresh hops and tropical overtones, a pungent sweetness greats your nose. It pours a golden amber in color with medium body and light head. A nice saturation of citrus and guava hits your tongue before revealing its smooth malt character. It finishes with a strikingly bitterness kind of like biting into some lime zest.
