COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The star of the show in this Tangletown-produced beer is the citrus and passion fruit aroma and flavor of New Zealand Nelson Sauvin hops. Whatever its name, it’s the same great beer, bittered with Northwest Chinook and drenched with New Zealand Nelson Sauvin hops. Brewed with Maris-Otter pale, Munich and Cara-Red and Crisp 120° Starting gravity 17° Plato, 6.25% ABV, 66 IBUs. Don’t give up. We know you’ll get it. Think. Drink. It’s wiser than the others. Savant IPA. It’s the same terrific beer, with the same monkey, and a different name.

Probably the most "refined " beer that I have had over the past two years. This is the real deal, the final product Very refined. You would think that they have been brewing this for centuries. Passion fruit in an IPA? Brilliant! Only New Zealand hops? Home run! At the end of 2012, this might be the best beer that I have had all year.

Smells like apricot and apple. Big fruity head. Great carpet lacing with creamy head. Pours cloudy orange with soft carbonation. Creamy texture. IPA bite of bitterness at end but well-balanced. Versatile beer. On tap at Garrick’s head.

Pours a gorgeous hazy amber with thick white head. Strong and inviting grapefruit aroma, very little hop. Mild on the palate initially with citrus and bitterness picking up shortly after. Grassy finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap @GarricksHeadPub. Cloudy amber goodness with puffy off-white head; good retention and lacing. Big floral and fruit aromas - orange, grapefruit, mango, apricot - with a pine/resin bite over soft, earthy caramel malt backing. Lightly sweet, lasting but not overpowering hop bitterness. Medium-bodied and juicy smooth. Need to try again to be sure, but that first pint puts it among my favourite IPAs.

Nice goto IPA. Pours a cloudy amber with a white head. Smells fruity with a touch of pine. Flavor is in harmony with the aroma. Fruity, notes of pine and mildly sweetened (honey). Ends with a nice sweet hoppy finish. This is my first from Elysian and I can't wait to try more! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cloudy deep copper color. Aroma is pine and citrus. Taste is watery on the mid-palate then floral and citrusy, with a big, dry, grassy finish. Good IPA.

Piney, floral, yet no juicy hops :(. Hoppy bitterness doesn't linger; plenty malty but still not my style. Tasty, not great.

Bottle:   Amberish, fairly hazy, fine sediment floats about, large pillowy off-white head, nice lacing.   Soft pithy nose, some citrus, a bit of resin.   Fairly good example of an IPA.   Not overly bitter, soft malt base.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Lingering resin and pith, but its not over the top.   Seems pretty refreshing and somewhat bright.   Pith, citrus peel, and soft resin lingers.   Fairly tasty!

Dry and grassy. Floral notes with a bit of tropical character in the background. Moderately bitter. Pretty light.

Bomber pours golden amber, crater rock off white head. Nose is pine. Taste has loads of pine, hop resin, and earth. Did I mention lacing coated my glass? Body is solid and finish is dry. A solid IPA.
