The pour is a translucent auburn color with a moderately full, white, creamy, pillowy head which settles to a thin, rocky layer and leaves scattered, drippy lace. The nose has toasted toffee, resins, light rustic, some tangerine, and faint passionfruit. The flavor is similar, still toffee, still resinous, some rustic tones, passionfruit and stonefruit, and toasted breads. The palate is more than medium, soft to lively, velvety, and slightly drying. The finish is more rustic, drying, stonefruit, and resinous. Actually a very nice beer to drink with the balance yet a moderately high bitterness. The malt base was great, really making this more of a hybrid IPA. The Nelson Sauvin notes were pleasant and complementary but not overly done. Nice beer.

Bottle to chalice poured a magnificent crystal clear amber with a giant white fluffy head that retreated quickly. Aroma introduces a tropical fruit frenzy including passion fruit and guava. First sip begins with citrus upfront followed by pine hoppiness and a smooth finish. Palatable bitterness and hints of tropical fruit linger in the mouth. Impressive IPA.

650ml bottle. It pours a deep amber with a foamy off-white head. The smell has a good bit of toasted grain, a nice change of pace in an IPA. It melds with some mangotomatomeloney scents. The flavor is nicely hoppy. Tropical goodness. Some resiny pine and citrus rind on the back end. The malt isn’t too sweet and provides some backbone. This beer tastes freaking amazing, good one.
