Tap at Tangletown; enjoyable dark wheat beer; poured brownish with amber tones; my palate and vision was probably getting skewed at this point but I really enjoyed it on this cold sunny Meridian day. (#38)

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nose of light clove, banana, and dark wheat malts. Pours dark brown with a nice red hue and a thin lasting head. The nose outshines the flavor, as the banana, clove, and spicy yeast notes are not there. All I got was dark wheat bread, light fruity sweetness, but thats about it. Lingering dark wheat flavors with a touch of crispness reminiscent of wheat ales. Not bad, but uninteresting.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at Tangletown. Pours a nice dark, nearly opaque ebony blackish brown. Dense but shallow creamy tan head. Beer needed 15 minutes of warming in a crowded room before it finally started throwing some black bread and dark wheat sweet tangy notes. Nose was virtually vancat until then. Creamy medium body, subdued carb. Mostly a black bread mid-palate, with some dark fruit notes and a little bit of wheat tang. This beer is a little too tame for its own good, really.

V - cloudy dark muddy orange color with a characteristically small head. Very wheaty aroma with perhaps a tinge of rose. Taste to match but slightly muted.
