3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a bottle from cellar (54F). Pours a very nice dark gold, two finger head. Head is pretty darn persistent and leaves a load of lacing on the glass. Don’t get a lot of aroma from this, but I’m eating a spicy cheese shrimp jambalaya so I’m sure that’s affecting things. The aroma that I get is a bit of pine resin with a bit of citrus. Tastes clean, crisp, and is going with the meal quite well. Nice bitterness with a touch of sweetness mid-swallow. Medium long finish. Nice beer with dinner.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
7%ABV. Pale Ale.
Poured out dark Amber. 14ºSRM.
Nose has a deeply sweet malty funk, a little like drying raw cane liquor. Ester like overripe fruit aroma as well. Malted candy fullness in the nose like taffy as it cools.
Mouthfeel is watery soapy. Palate has some nice toasted malt flavors with graham cracker, animal biscuits, pop tarts and lightly browned wheat toast. Hops are spicy with chili peppers, serranos, cilantro, some coriander. There is pine, grass and an enduring herbaceous bitter.
Finish is brief and with a nice resurgent bitter that slowly builds then fades. Very nice.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours amber copper with a one finger off white head with excellent lacing. Aroma is of citrus, pine, bready malts, sweet malts, caramel, and some grassy hops. Taste is about three same as the aroma. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, semi bitter, medium finish. Overall, a pretty nice, well balanced APA that might be tad to malty for my tastes and has a high abv for the style.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
I poured it from the bottle into a pint glass. It pours copper with a white head and some lacing. The aroma is floral hops, earthy, and grapefruit. The taste is the same with some hints of dried fruit. It’s pretty dry. The alcohol is noticeable. This was decent.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
I do not wax on poetically about beer but I do know the quality of a beer once tasted. This review is not about my tastes but reinforces the numbers, which are arbitrary.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a hazy golden orange color with a one finger head of thick off white foam. The head has a great level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a nice level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is big and bready with a strong doughy aroma mixed within. Along with these aromas comes some smells of a grainy nature as well as some sweetness of orange and harvest fruits. There is a little bit of a grassy and hay smell rounding it all out and giving a nice aroma overall.
Taste – The taste begins with a very doughy taste mixed with some flavors of harvest fruit and an orange sweetness. The bready stays very strong with the sweet changing a bit as the orange gets more potent and the harvest fruits get lighter. With these taste transitions comes some flavors of hay and grain at the very end, leaving one with a rather sweet and doughy taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is slightly thicker and chewier with a carbonation that is average. For the doughy and sweet taste the chewy feel is great and makes for a nice thick medium for the rich tastes to be sensed.
Overall – I really enjoyed this pale. It is very malty and thick for a pale, but very tasty none the less. An enjoyable brew overall.
