3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
BottleÖ Clear orange ale with a small, creamy, fat-bubbled, white head. Good retention. The nose is of deeply musky and deeply earthy hops with only hints of honey and toffee. Full-bodied with soft carbonation. Unlike the aroma, the flavor furnishes enough sweet malt to overwhelm a very subtle hop bill Ė lots of toffee here. Finishes sweet with minimal bitterness.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is a slightly over-hopped for a red beer, but has a nice flavor. Destined to be a regular as an amber-style beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
clear amber with a small white head... sweet resiny hop aroma, with some caramel malts.. lightest of burnt flavors, some distinct malt sweetness... decent at best for a red ale, not nearly hoppy enough for me.. has kinda on irish red ale thing going for it...

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber from Caponeís. Pours clear deep caramel colored with edges approaching ruby. The head is 3-fingers, creamy, well-retained, and eggshell, and the lace is copious. Nose is resiny hops, caramel malt, some winey fruitiness. The aroma is reminiscent of a maibock. Tastes crisp, with caramel malt and a solid hop resin in front, some mid fruit and spice at mid-palate, and more IBUs emerging as it warms. Palate heft and complexity are medium. Solid.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured a medium brown, not the reddish tone I would have expected. Thin off white head. Aroma has some piney hops, caramel malt. Taste has a good hop start with reasonable malt backing. Some nuttiness there, mild apple. Decent bitter finish. A fairly straight ahead APA.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
This beer is really not good at all. Bitter aftertaste, missing something...flavor. This is what happens when Seattle beers come to Portland and try to run with the Big Dogs, they lay a big dog turd.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bomber poured a hazy amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness and light grapefruit. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, light citrus and light earthiness with a crisp dry lightly bitter finish.
