Sweet and a bit grainy in the nose with some citrus notes. Hazy deep golden-copper coloured body is topped by a small off white, fine bubbled head that recedes to a partial cover with some lacing. Quite sweet and fairly grainy. Moderate offsetting bitterness. Medium body is quite dry with rather strong carbonation. Quite sweet but also dry and puckering. Tulip glass. Just above fridge temperature. Bottle purchased at Bottleworks in March 2011.

Big malty beer that is close to red in color. Flavor is a little weird to me and boy was I burping after this one. It also did not play well with the pizza that I was eating.

Tap @ Fox Sports Seattle. Burnt orange appearance with a white head. Mildly piney, herbal, earthy hoppy, sweet pale malty nose. Easy dining, moderately piney, earthy hoppy flavor with a pretty sweet pale malty backbone. Pretty good pale ale.

Bomber into Sam Adams lager glass. Bought at Fred Meyer in CDA, ID. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a medium light-beige head with great retention (dang, all the Elysian beers Iíve had recently give great head); leaves a resilient blanket of foam and some lace. Aroma is cinnamon toast, citrus. Taste is bittersweet, grainy. Nice and balanced. Highly carbonated with a medium body. Tasty.

Clear amber color, good steady off-white head, lace. Aroma of Cascade - fruity and citrusy and also crystal/caramel malts. Medium-bodied. Caramelly, crystal malty, dry mouthfeel. Light woody hoppyness. Basic Irish Red.

Pours hazed orange with a frothy beige head that laces well. Aroma of toasted malt and citrus. Taste has a nice floral and citrus hop with mild bitterness and good sweet malt balance. Pretty good, better than expected.

Bomber from Dillon Ridge Liquors in Dillon, Colorado. Clear copper pour with a huge dense white head that lasts forever (literally, for-ev-er) and laces heavily -- maybe itís the altitude? Aroma is faint caramel malt, probably crushed by the foamy cap. Flavor is as expected for an amber/alt, so Iím not quite sure why this is categorized as an APA. Not too hoppy, just a good solid malt backbone and enough bitterness to balance everything out.
