On tap at the monaca bocktown, nice place. Looks like a pale lager. No head. First thing I notice is that its quite like a mild IPA. Yes, mild IPA. Not sure where the red come from, this must be the ale and not the red. Some mild hop perfumy aroma. Finish is medium length stronger APA thing.

22oz Bottle. The pour was a cloudy reddish orange with an average (1-2 fingers) white creamy head that pretty much lasted throughout, reducing slightly and possessing excellent sheets of lacing. The aroma was on the mild side with a grain malt, floral and citrus hops and an earthy yeast with notes of caramel and citrus (grapefruit). The taste was lightly bitter with a nice caramel sweetness early on, it then become a tad bitterer with a moderate dose of grapefruit and a bold hoppy presence towards the finish. The flavor lasted a decent amount of time after the swallow with a slight citrus peel hoppiness lingering for little while longer. Mouthfeel was a few steps below medium in body with a dry and slightly watery texture and a medium carbonation. Overall this was a pretty solid Pale Ale. Although it was nothing overly special, it did have a really good taste and a great drinkability. I definitely would drink again...

Pours a clear amber with a decent white head. Aroma is caramel, grass, herbs, and cereal. Taste is floral, caramel, sweet tea, and a bitter finish. As with other Elysian brews the palate is nice on this one as it feels creamy and smooth.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Dancing Camel Pub. Thanks David Cohen. Clear brown-bronze with an off-white head. Sweet aroma, mango, peach and pineapple. Tastes bitter and crude, probably due to age. Hardly any carbonation, light body and bitter finish.
