Bomber poured a hazy amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness and light grapefruit. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, light citrus and light earthiness with a crisp dry lightly bitter finish.

22oz bottle 3/23/11 (Veteran Liquor) 56° in Lager Glass-Pours a light golden amber with a huge white head. Aroma of malt and hops. Taste of the same with some sweetness. This medium bodied brew is not bad but I was expecting an amber according to Elysian website but it almost does fit an APA. You would think the brewer should know.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks David Cohen. Clear amber with almost no head. Aroma of piney and citric hops, a bit stale, a bit of malt and some fresh fruits. Flavor has some sweet malt, stale hops an a moderately bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

Draft. Crisp deep amber-brown pour with small creamy head. standard pour and balanced look, nose is sweet caramel malts and whiffs of fresher hops. Body is average carbonation and fairly light bodied. Sour-malt amber flavors, banana crisp and round yeast. Solid but not balanced in an interesting way. skeptical.

clear amber with a small white head... sweet resiny hop aroma, with some caramel malts.. lightest of burnt flavors, some distinct malt sweetness... decent at best for a red ale, not nearly hoppy enough for me.. has kinda on irish red ale thing going for it...

Bottle with Andrew. Pours an orange-gold with off-white foam. Smells lightly sweet with citrus/pine hop aroma. Tastes sweet and malty like a standard red, but is a little more bitter to balance out th malts.

22 oz bomber. Mild aroma. See through red color. Not a particularly notable beer. Average at best. Other beers by elysian have been much better.

Pours a nice clear amber color with a slightly off white head that leaves behind rings of lacing. Slight hop aroma but everything else is a bit muted. Taste has the aforementioned hint of hops. Don’t get much else. So so beer.

I was excited to see a new offering from Elysian. This beer was good enough but not great. light, malty taste. Probably wouldn’t buy it again but would not complain about drinking it again.
